Was literally coming to post the exact same thing. It’s a real combative side to him that we haven’t witnessed at AFL level before.
Freo round 2 last year he showed the same intent to just grab the game and bully the other side.

Like any star midfielder, you need capable teammates.

Absolutely no one can do it alone.

I mentioned already but it stood out even more on a rewatch... He was scrapping in that last 5 minutes. Like he decided that he was sick of losing and a brick wall wouldn't get in his way.
It’s the type of mindset that manifests when you’re not eight goals down with ten minutes left.

It’s clear from his comment that the lack of midfield support has been a real challenge for him this year.
I noticed that too. Probably a good side effect of moving Harry into the middle (and Harry being comically adaptable and classy as a player) is that LDU doesn't have to shoulder quite as much load, and gets to enjoy footy a bit more (with us) as a result.

I think so and getting some continuity in the middle with LDU, Powell, Wardlaw and Sheez with Jy providing a much needed bigger body.

For the love of god pay the man what he wants and sign him up.
It’s not about money it’s about whether we, as a team, can do what we did yesterday on a more regular basis. We’ve got the best part of a season and a half to convince him we can.

Agree and to do that we need LDU.

I remember the excitement when we called out his name on draft night and the tears call to his parents.

Hopefully that flame is still bright.

That depends on the club's 2nd half development, if we somehow win 3 more games and proceed with 6 wins next year then he is very likely to stay.

Why are you barracking for this? What signs? Why are you a twat?

I am being realistic and also seeing the opportunity him leaving could offer us.

We should never be afraid of letting any players go as roster movement is good for the club if we manage it probably.

Our 2010s team under brad probably suffered from not enough personnel movement.

Yep. OK. So you're just a twat for the sake of it. Thanks.

Hope so. Clubs are going to come hard for him with some offering immediate success.

In any case, he is guaranteed to bring in a top 4 pick which we could and should use to get 2 very useful players.

When i say useful, i don't mean stars.

For instance, if we can get a jarrad waite type player then it would be immense for team balance.

He is a Top 4 pick, playing like a Top 4 pick and you think it would be good to exchange that for 'useful' players.

We need stars. He is a star.

Waite was a star. Injuries and suspensions were the only reason he left the blues
