Needs to be made skipper over Jy.

He is having a very good consistent year, his burst is excellent, his defensive pressure/intent is up, tackling intent/pressure is up, his kicking has been good, his handballing is starting to become a weapon and he is now starting to regularly kick goals.

Dunno about the captaincy, but agree with the sentiment; of the running players, only LDU and Curtis looked like making something happen

Pretty crazy that it took a mountain of injuries from other more limited mids to give this guy a genuine full time mid role.

He’s in what, his fourth year? And we’re not even putting him front and centre at the full time in the midfield, evne though he’s an out and out midfielder which we drafted him for as a pick ****ing 4 in the draft?

Now that’s CLASSIC North development

He's starting to kick goals and look more comfortable in the forward line. Is that part of the classic north development?

Anyone have his stats by quarter? Looked like an ordinary start when the game was affectively lost. Certainly got going later in second quarter and finished off nicely but game was over by then.

4,9,5,15.

Our midfield structure needs to revolve around Luke. Whatever needs to happen to maximise his output at every stoppage, f*kn do it.

He is not a string, he’s the f*kn instrument.

Love Jy, Jed, but this is Lukes midfield now. Coaches need to instruct them to block for him & get the ball in his hands, more often.

Was brilliant today! Building ever so nicely year on year. I reckon the only thing stopping him from becoming an elite player is his goal kicking, particularly his set shots, hopefully that improves over time.

Trade for Dow? He was the pick before so it's good value.

Looking the goods, smooth mover out of congestion. Could say this about numerous players, but get the feeling his development has been held back by the club...possibly not nurturing him the right way, not getting enough mid minutes etc. Like most, would look better in a good, well structured team as well instead of having to make things up himself and rely on his individual brilliance.

Him going the pick after Dow and Brayshaw the pick before stings.
