And in the game nobody cares about...

Wellington 4-1 Perth

Goals to Aloisi :eek::eek:, Smeltz, Coveny and Lochhead, after Celeski had put Perth in front.

Looks like they're going to be tough to beat this season, especially at home. Full credit to Ricki Herbert. :thumbsu:

How do those Simpson twins get a game?

Despite all this crap Perth will come out with 8,000 in their next home game, no club would get anywhere near that if they had to put up with whats happened at the Glory the past 3 years with squads that would struggle to win a state league title.

So you don't think Melbourne could easily beat 8K the if they were as bad as Perth for 3 years?

The sending off for the Perth player Djublic? when it was 2-1 was BS. I think it was his second yellow but the two Brazilians teammates ran into each other and it looked clumsy/comical. He did a bit shirt pulling but the ref obvious got confused (who knows how with 2 black shirts). It wasn't worth a first yellow let alone a second yellow when you are already on one.

Wellington is da bomb. :thumbsu:

Spent quite a bit of time flicking between this and the F1 yesterday - I reckon Coveny's goal is the best scored so far this season. Magnificent build-up and extremely good finish. It's that simple but effective football we really don't see enough of in this league.

And another 10k plus crowd despite awful conditions. Really good stuff.
