I am not against finals, but the structure for them currently stinks.

It is a blink-and-you-miss-it affair. Viewing from the outside, it just seems unfair and a waste of the previous 28 rounds. There is also nothing "football" about it. Have 2 legged matches, make the final league position mean something huge. I don't know. one-off games just don't work after 28 games.

The NBL does have 6 out of the 10 make finals, though there is a play-in element about it. But what I have really liked is they aren't afraid to be basketball bout it with a 3 and then 5-game play-off. And the current system really meant every position was important. Only 5v6 had a one off game, do or die.

As I said, I don't like the current finals system. Just feels off

I did enjoy the 2-legged semi finals in the middle 2010's. CCM v Brisbane were epic games. Didnt know they returned.

just isn't enough money involved for most clubs to sign players on long term contracts, Its also seen as risky, easier to just turnover players.

How does VAR offside work with those lines? It's a magic process involving guys with rulers and MS Paint (well almost).

Still guessing where the point of most advanced part of the attacker/defender. A bit more guesswork here than I expected.
