That is the problem with the A-League. The clubs just cycle through the same batch of coaches. It wouldn't hurt to look elsewhere.

Dimitrios Petratos was equal top scorer last season.
Adrian Luna was a handy player at city including the Grand Final win but had we had the full squad to pick from he might not have been in the starting line up, and I'd take all of our current crop of midfielders over him.
It's ok for Cummings to go and get financial security. But let's not dress this up as playing in an up and coming league.

He has been great for Western United, just a class above his teammates, eg he can pass the ball more than 15 metres.
Not sure what he has planned next, but if he goes back to Italy I hope he puts in a good word for the A League to Serie A players winding down their careers.
One of the best marquees this league has seen with his on field quality.
The chipped goals in the Semi Final of WU's first season were out of this world.

Belgium could be a good move for him. Develop in a mid-tier European league without the eyes of the world on him. If he comes on then a move to a bigger league could be on the cards.
As long as you go to a team with stability and are likely to get a game. Nothing for your development worse then rotting in the reserves in a mid tier league

Hard to care about the League when you are forgotten about the whole time.
It is in a sad sad state atm. I wouldn't able to tell you much about the season which just happened. I should be a supporter or at least care even with no Tassie team. I just don't. Stupid finals system which makes the league stage a joke, stupid grand final venue now and stupid expansion teams who had little to no support.

How do you mean? You don't like finals or the format?
As for the league itself yeah its currently a dumpster fire the poor Television and Streaming deal with Chanel10 and especially Paramount plus is a massive contributor, The GF decision has been the biggest blunder that Townsend and the head of the APL have made and it will come back to bite him and the league. For a lot of disgruntled fans it was the final straw and many will not come back. The product on field has been pretty good through and that's the shame of it all there are some good young talent coming through and unfortunately because of a few dicknobs in suits making decisions a lot of Australian football fans are missing out whether through lack of access lack of knowing through promotions and lack foresight. Its the some old story I'm afraid Football Australia just keeps going around in circles.

I am not against finals, but the structure for them currently stinks.
It is a blink-and-you-miss-it affair. Viewing from the outside, it just seems unfair and a waste of the previous 28 rounds. There is also nothing "football" about it. Have 2 legged matches, make the final league position mean something huge. I don't know. one-off games just don't work after 28 games.
The NBL does have 6 out of the 10 make finals, though there is a play-in element about it. But what I have really liked is they aren't afraid to be basketball bout it with a 3 and then 5-game play-off. And the current system really meant every position was important. Only 5v6 had a one off game, do or die.
As I said, I don't like the current finals system. Just feels off
