Fox pulled up sore at one stage, looked like he grabbed at his lower back; he played on until he was subbed off, but he may be one that gets a week off to get it right?

I like Oli, but he was a mess in the first half or so. Fumbles galore.

I think he stays though, had some good moments later on. And Blakey was even worse.
Yeah very much a game of two halves for him, but he's definitely not the only one to not put together 4 quarters

Haven’t read any of the reaction on the forum yet but a few positional things stood out to me as things to continue with.

Mills rose a level when he predominately played in defence in the final quarter.

Florent has not looked like it in defence lately and seems a very handy idea to play as a high HF, fit enough to go up and back and when confident is a threat around goal moving forward.

I liked most of Logan’s game in defence but with Melican back next week he can go forward again, great to see him confidently slot that shot from 50m and that could spark something.

Up forward, Parker must be used as the deep forward when there and bursts in the middle. He’s well and truly still a valuable force for us.

McLean was great as second ruck in the final term and maybe needs to play less forward, more off the bench to rest Grundy. That way you have a smaller more mobile forward line with Amartey and Logan as the talls.

On Amartey, he’s not kicking goals but he competes and I’m fine with that. Getting to more contests than I’ve seen from him

I wonder if the blistering football we played when coming from behind gives the coaches and players any ideas about how to adjust our game?

To me we clearly look a level above most when there's a bit of chaos in the game and systems go out the window. Our pace and skills really seem to come to the fore when we're running on instinct.

Our defence still looks creaky. The number of balls that got out the back was outrageous.
Don't get me started. I can't recall us having one defensive player who has been consistently good all year. Possibly Rampe when he's not injured but that's about it. Even Roberts who has been fantastic for us the last weeks had a fair bit of dip - but I can excuse a young player for that sort of form inconsistency.

The others are driving me nuts right about now.

100% agree on all of that. Particularly with Mills - clearly not fit enough for mids and we have looked so vulnerable in defence the last 3 weeks. This will enable us to unleash Blakey even more and play Florent up the ground. Mills to defence could turn our defence into a premiership quality defence.

McRae crying like a lil biartch about the fitty
Love the saltiness, particularly for a team that had their share of luck in last quarters over the last few years.. GWS were robbed in the prelim by some non calls. How does that taste now McRae! Everyone was singing his praises about the way he handled himself in press conference over the last couple of years but when the going gets tough…
Horse is all class compared to him.

Usually when they win the close one it’s off the back of a shit call or two. All teams fans wear their teams luck in games well, but not Collingwood fans. They expect everything to go their way in close games all the time

Only a small thing.

But the mark Parker took in second quarter, I am not sure any other player would have gotten to that ball and held the mark.
He was excellent. Such a smart forward. Reads the ball so early.
Love him as a deep forward however im not sure if we can have all 3 KPFs and Parker at the same time. Too slow on the deck

I raise you the North Melbourne game
