Carlton has had four players named in the All-Australian squad of 44 ahead of Thursday’s final team announcement, with only Brisbane and Fremantle having more representatives.

A quartet who was central to the Blues’ best footy in 2024, it was no surprise to see any of Patrick Cripps, Charlie Curnow, Harry McKay or Jacob Weitering in the extended squad.

If Weitering doesn't its another robbery

Yep but we know he’ll be snubbed again.

It’s crazy because he’s statistically by far the best 1-on-1 defender. He has the lowest loss rate of any defender in the comp and isn’t that what the Full Back is supposed to do, nullify the oppositions best forward. The CHB is where you expect the intercept marks.

And loving Massimo D’Ambrosios nomination.

Eddie will be the only one who votes for all 4 of the Blues boys to be in the 22 AA squad. Pav might vote for Charlie and Crippa.

Charlie and H no chance, will be Cameron and Hogan taking those spots. Even though Charlie was leading the coleman for 90% of the season he's had an abysmal year outside of kicking goals, didn't really deserve a nomination all things considered. H started the season on fire and fell away the last 2 months.

Cripps definitely should be in and should be captain but you know they'll give it to Bont (C) and Gawn (VC) because Carlton.

Weitering lost any chance with us having the 4th worst defence in the league and our last 8 weeks would be more in the forefront of any selector and he's been average for most of it.

Is this Weiters' year?

This is not a great take on Charlie.

He had a down year or him, but still a great year relative to his peers who have also had inconsistent patches, including Hogan.

Charlie is right up there when looking at combined Goal + Goal Assists totals..and was leading the comp until around the time of his injury.

Well done to our boys the late season might cost H a Guernsey Cripps a Monty.

PS. Don't know whether the Bombers faithful would be as wrapped in getting rid of D'Ambrosio as much as I am for them.😊

Charlie kicked 41, yes 41 behinds. Geez if he'd been more accurate could have won the Coleman in a "down" year. But woulda coulda and all that.
