I just googled it, I remember them as the Go-Bots rather than Machine Men lol even though the marketing (especially in Australia) was Machine Men.

I had the plane, a friend had the red car and the motorcycle guy toys

I had some of these figures, and the Command Centre.

according to Wikipedia, GoBots was a line of transforming robot toys produced by Tonka from 1983 to 1987, similar to Transformers. Although initially a separate and competing franchise, Tonka's Gobots became the intellectual property of Hasbro after their buyout of Tonka in 1991. Subsequently, the universe depicted in the animated series Challenge of the GoBots and follow-up film GoBots: Battle of the Rock Lords was established as an alternate universe within the Transformers franchise.

There was a show on ABC probably really early 90's that went for a couple of minutes just to fill in time before shows I guess. It was a stop frame animation of either pelicans or ducks which were made out of folded paper / origami.

I can still remember the tune like it was yesterday. The song was actually the pelicans / ducks quacking along to the tune. Have searched google for ages, can't seem to find anything.

Can't believe I've never found it before after all the searching. Found it straight away just then on a search. It's called Quaq Quao. The tune is exactly like I remembered, however the duck sings along to the tune at the end of the episode.

Also found this little gem while on my search. This was also a favourite back in the day! Can still remember this tube perfectly as well.

In a similar vein, I present La Linea:

I reckon i remember something like that
There was also a filler between shows of a character who was a line on paper shaped as a person that used to shuffle across the screen and do stuff
Cant remember a name
Edit, that's it above!!!!
Haha love it

I liked that ABC filler show that featured two bits of red and blue plasticine. They were excellent. Blue plasticine was a little shit but cute with it.
