Well, he had fun while it lasted in the first two movies. Besides, don't forget, Han Selwood was out of the picture all those months he was encased in carbonite.LOL!
I guess the last few posts provide a little bit of humour, perhaps as much reality as the multitude of other posts all trying to provide that 'insight' of being a family friend, a club insider or someone who can read the Herald Sun.
I will be glad when the decision is over. That either; a. Gary is responsible enough to finally admit he is going for the money; or, b. This has been a charade all along to close off GC and to stick a finger up at the AFL for providing such a team an avenue to poaching. Just to being the underdog, I'd like option two.
I am sure that most would agree that if the case is a, and he has known and been signed for quite some time, he would not be welcome in Geelong. No matter how positive you look at it, what people hate the most is being lied to or at least decieved by one they trust. The 46 pages of rants and or insights later and we'd have to all agree on that.
I never thought that Gary would even entertain an offer from another club. His name and family is synonymous with the very fabric of the club. Speed, swagger, flair - That is Geelong footy. That is Gary Ablett.
If he leaves, he will be missed. However, I believe that will be related to context. If he stays, I will be impressed with his loyalty to the club he grew up with and will grow old with.
I just want it to end. Either way.

Heard some interesting news today regarding Gary Ablett's move to the Gold Coast Suns.
Apparently Gary had signed early in the year to join with the Gold Coast Suns, however after about a month and a half he then later decided that his heart and football was a priority at Geelong.
On advising the new GC franchise on his decision to stay with the Cats, he informed the Suns he would be following up the process of the get out clause, but apparently there may not be one...???
This is meant to be the stumbling block in announcing any decisions..

Can I ask you in the know people on these matters - Can you sign a legally binding contract when you are still under contract at the Cats ?
Is it possible he could, if he has signed a deal, get out of it ?

Port players apparently saw him at the airport. Now, it was leaked to the media BEFORE he would have even had time to tell Geelong about the meeting, and being greeted by the speculation at the airport, he probably thought they already knew.
Besides, who told you he didn't tell Geelong- Mike Sheahan? Patrick Smith? Caro? Yeah, like you can believe a media with an agenda.
You say you were fooled once. Well, don't be fooled by the media. Until you hear otherwise, give Gazza the benefit of the doubt.
More people on this board should learn patience. No wonder so many people want extra-time in the Garnd Final, because people want everything NOW!
Besides, Port players should mind their own business, and focus on actually playing good football. If they spent less time leaking things to the media, and more improving their game, they might actually win.
Besides, Port are probably still upset that us thrashing them in the 2007 GF has psychologically stuffed them ever since.

Yeah, listning to Cook and Balme today, only one can suggest that Ablett is leaving. Cook said he hopes Ablett stays but then said he believes Gazza has made up his mind. I can't see Ablett staying, there was hope, but not anymore.
cook is a straight shooter, so for him to say gaz is decided and he does not know means only one thing
there are a few people that just need to leave the club
and let cook start his mission again
he is the best recruit a club could ever make
