It probably helped that the game of league is a front on collision style game so there shouldn't be a reason to be behind your opponent.

Possibly as hodge only did it the once; maybe there wasn't a hegu media response at time so the incident not well remembered. Genuinely interested in footage if available.

There was plenty of media response due to Hodge being reported and Lappin being injured from it, thankfully it is the only time Hodge has done it, so he is not a repeat offender.
Hawks on top of ladder after the week end, but judging by the continued frantic posting about Goodes & his courage in this thread, there are strong suggestions that they didn't heed our advice to get some hemorrhoid cream to relieve them from their 2012 offended!

This was already said earlier in the thread, a one-off incident and never repeated since, but people like Bollox and Shotties aren't particularly concerned about common sense. Goodes has rightfully been questioned over his style of play, but their defence is to go on the attack and turn this into war between Sydney and Hawthorn - you sledge our champ, we'll sledge yours - pure muppetry...

Whatever Dermie says to try & discredit Goodes, will never reduce Goodes' standing in the game. Just a bunch of sore losers from Hawthorn that know only too well that by losing the big one last year, 2013 could now be their last chance for glory for years, with the knowledge that Buddy will chase the money & go to Freo leaving the Hawks with the ageing Hodge, Sewell & Mitchell.....etc.....etc. INSECURITY at it's purist.
