Mate, just settle down. The bloke is in fine shape. Just needs a week or two more for the hammyburger to settle.

He was obviously playing up the ground more in the SANFL. Also loves playing a defensive forward role so probably sacrificed his stats a bit for the good of the team.

Believe in willie.
Thought I read somewhere that Willi Rioli had had a setback and that it would be some weeks before he would be ready to take the track again?

Could be anything the wind, rain ,MCG , playing in Melb with the timezones ,new boots..:p

Agree
Would be great if Watson built a tank ,I think he may be more effective up around the midfield the way he reads the play and competes for the ball ..

Time for Peter Matera to make good on his claim that he could turn Jetta into the best winger in the AFL I recon.:rolleyes:

How Simpson reacts to this loss will define his tenure at the club.

Will he have the balls to drop the likes of Priddis and move on to the next era of the club? Or will he persist with the same old, same old.

Over to you, Adam.
I vote same old same old and he'll be gone by the end of the season

Could've sworn this has been said a good 10 times. Nothing will change unfortunately

This zone defence and corralling instead of actually tackling is just a crap game plan. Soft, unaccountable sh!t football. No wonder opposition don't fear us and we can only beat crap sides.

We need to make some fundamental changes to our team defensive policy and doing that will also need a change in personnel.

This soft, down hill skiing style of footy that doesn't deliver against quality teams MUST END.:straining::straining::mad::mad:

It's seriously like watching a game of netball where everyone's afraid of getting called for contact. Pathetic.

And they wonder why we win the free kick counts? Its because we don't go hard at the body defensively. We corral off and hope they kick poorly and we intercept the mark.

I just don't buy into that style winning finals football against the best sides. Sure we will win a final against the 8th placed Norths but top 4 sides are simply smarter than that.

Especially when they can just run straight past the road cones we call midfielders and know that they've got f*** all chance of being caught

Our supporters are soft. Like Simpson and the players.
Care to back up this accusation regarding us, the supporters?

Something's not right. The coach's body language on the bench in that final quarter was very odd; no real emotion, he wasn't eyeballing the players, he actually looked like he expected that insipid performance...like the rest of us. He didn't look like a coach who was passionate about making a difference or instilling motivation, confidence and belief in his players.

Prediction
The second that Brad Scott steps down / is ejected from his coaching role at North, Adam Simpson will resign from West Coast to take the reigns at Arden Street.

He looked like a defeated man who is waiting for something to materialise FOR him, instead of doing the materialising himself. A move back home to family and friends with a fresh new challenge with a different group of players at his 'shinboner' spiritual home of footy may do him some good. But where would that leave West Coast?
