I also seem to recall when Ford pulled out they ran a bunch of ads saying how proud they were to still be manufacturing in Australia and "were here to stay"

Funniest thing is when they say that they will continue to make top-quality cars.

I have owned two Holdens and want to ask, when do they START making good cars?

Not only are Holden doing those tacky ads, they're sending a marketing letter to anyone who has bought a car through a Holden dealer in (at least) the past 6 months, basically putting the ad in letter form.

Massive swing toward "random shit" when making ads at the moment, there is one (can't even remember what its for) where they guy imagines a goat with eagle wings that creates rainbows, the premise of the ad is if you take time picking whatever the product is it gives you less time to imagine the goat. I have no idea what is going on in it.

I know the Rhonda and Katut AAMI ads would have been mentioned a lot but:

Any ad that is like a series over time based around a "will they get together" just shits me.

Even worse is I read an article, not an ad, an article (yes I know it's a different type of ad) discussing who Rhonda would go with. It was all about "Are you a Katut fan or a trent fan?" "Who do you think she should hook up with?" Then a poll at the bottom.

I just just want to hurl.

There is one ad and an infomercial that are a little annoying at the moment. The annoying ad is for the "Nerf Rebelle"....honestly how many teenage girls are going to feel powerful firing nerf darts from a $5 crossbow/bow that would break in 10 minutes if you tried hard enough.

The annoying infomercial concerns a real old guy who looks like (but certainly doesn't sound like) John Kennedy Senior trying to flog, of all things, an AIR PURIFIER?! Sure it makes a change from flogging stoneware pots and pans, soup makers and Chuck Norris and his total gym (OK, scrap that, can never get sick of Chuck Norris) but name one person who would waste their money on an air purifier?

The new Medibank ad is ok in terms of the message it's trying to convey but the song "Riptide" sounds like crap and you can guarantee it's one of the songs you hear a million times over the summer.

usually beer companies make very clever ad's but these are just ****ing stupid.
