****ing hate this commercial. Whoever came up with the ideas for this commercial is an idiot. The commercial is even more unbearable than before. Before that guy said "Metropolitan Plumbing" now the "MetropolitanPlumbing.COM.AU" is even more annoying!!

I often wonder about the objective of this advert. Do they really think I'm going to call them?? I'd purposely use another plumber, any plumber, just because the advert is so excruciating.

100% this. Are they trying to scare off potential clients?? LOL
Don't know what they are trying to prove with it. Instead of talking about their business and telling us about the services they offer they make so idiotic commercial repeating the same thing over and over and over again!! If they're trying to be funny, they fail miserably!

You may have not witnissed it yet, but the conclusion to the Rhonda/Katut 'romance' is enough to make you sick to your stomach.

Go back to making commercials where you smash things AAMI!

I think they even devoted a large segment of one of the current affairs program to give the early tip who she's going with.

It's basically shit to appeal to women. At least men's interests are bearable.

You were #TeamTrent too, huh? ;)

The ad is purely a vehicle for PR. There is nothing in them that sells anything. Or conveys anything.

I hate them vehemently.

I'm only playing devils advocate here. I haven't seen the ad, and it seens painful as ****.

But what I reckon here is they are thinking how often does one need a plumber? Not often it's not an every day thing. So all they are trying to do is plant the business name into people's conscience so that when their hot water has run out and their desperate for a plumber they will just get the first plumber that springs to mind... And with a bit luck it will be that plumbing company. In that state you're hardly gonna reject someone due to an annoying ad.

I guess that's the only angle I can go with.

That's it.

The Frank Walker radio ads about his tiling business are like that.

As much as you might hate 'em, Frank Walker is synonymous with tiles now. And the recall factor is very strong.

Even though it's the only tile company in Victoria that I've heard of, and there's a store within walking distance of my place, I find his ads so annoying that in the event I ever needed to buy tiles I'd go hunting for another business.

I guess I'm in the minority though.

I agree with you. If an ad annoys me like that one I won't use the company. I think it's a bit old school thinking that as long as people know the ad it's working.

Oh my god. Anyone catch that Andre Agassi "movie" by Jacob's Creek.

Oh forget actually going to see a movie at the movies, ads are now movies!!!! Apparently.

Just came to post this, I got halfway through it and thought WTF is this about and what are they selling? Jacobs Creek have done some terrible ads, I remember one with a 30 something guy having a dinner party a few years back that was just as bad.
