The intention is to have opening lines from Wednesday from Australia's own Centrebet.com.au as the Temptation comp line. If something occurs like a player missing/ the adjusted line will be the one we go with. I'll advertise the lines via AE13clubhouse.com anyway plus I'm sure JD can either re-configure the lines on the options or give access to GG or myself to access the AE13 tipping site for late movements.

Nobody is going to be working with different spreads. It's only a rare occurrence lines shift. The full number spreads like 4 will be pulled back to 3.5 if that's the case for the sake of determining a result.

To avoid any controversy, those in Temptation would be best to give me their mobile contact # so they can be immediately alerted if we are forced to make a 'line change' at the eleventh hour. It's a rare occurrence anyway.

Its actually extremely common. Pretty much every line will will move from open of market to start of game. We just need transparency as the last thing we want is for a result to fall where the movement takes place.

I don't doubt that Tomatosauceling. But it is minor (.5-2) points if anything.

And we'll make adjustments / notifications accordingly. I was thinking (just putting out there now) that with games starting early morning and not everyone is going to be aware/awake if there is a 'bump' in the line, only fair that we agree to SEAL the line for the advantage of the Temptation punter at 10pm (night before game)?

ie: Given line: Cincinnati -6.5pt favs vs Cleveland (+6.5)
Some who have either team and take the line before 10pm (because it is a separate comp, you can declare your selection prior to kick-off as a safe way to keep that spread but in turn allow others to claim it)
If there is a shift to Cinci -7.5 (meaning Cleveland +7.5)
The Temptation rule will stay true for Cinci -6.5 and allow leeway for those who go with the Browns @ +7.5
So that covers both parties. I'll add an asterisk on this game as a Spreads Variation.

So unless there is a asterisk, the mirrored spread number stays the same. I'll be sure to have GG or JD check that number prior to kick-off. Variations in last hour are hardly noticed- moved drastically ESP MNF.

I think as soon as the initial lines are posted we should just go with them. If there is any movement from betting agencies then it won't affect us. Just keeps it as clear and simple as possible.

Issue with initial lines for Sunday games is that movement is more likely ;) as you made mention "extremely common" :p.
So to make a decision.. I'm sure we can AGREE to 'SEAL a LINE' say by 9PM AEST? the Sunday night before game? and Thursday 9pm AEST for Thursday Night Football on our Friday?

Do I have a second to the motion?

I agree with sauceling on this one. The earlier the lines are locked in, the better. If the betting agencies change their lines during the week, we stick with the opening lines. This makes it easier for people to lock in their selections early.

I'm not doing temptation this year, but for what it's worth I agree that the earlier the lines are locked in, the better.

gotta agree with Jake/AC.
Does it really matter if the lines move once we have our lines set? We are all still working on the same lines....I think whatever lines are out before the TNF game, should be the final lines for all games that week

That's why I made that comment with being open to 'spread variation' but at this stage.. we can still discuss it to see what other options we go with. Also worth taking into consideration is what 'TIME' is idea for all to SEAL the LINES.. I've floated a couple timeslots already.. just gives those line shifts time to settle. Also most complete the CR full card by Friday morning (AEST) and may want do the whole AE tipping in the one go but all lines may not be released by then. That's why allowing for common timeslot is what I'm thinking. I'll be happy to get more feedback.

Wed night lock would be good.

Will thurs night footy be in temptation?

If you want it to be. By our Thursday night (AEST) we'll have the SPREAD numbers up and confirmed. I believe they'll be released as early as MNF kick off on our Tuesday. That's why I'm thinking.. wait Thursday before we can gauge the line.

Unlike the AE comp, where selections can be changed right up to kick-off, I think it's fair to avoid any controversy for the Temptation comp by having a one time SUNDAY NIGHT DEADLINE for Sunday games. If no Temptation selections are made for the TNF/ Sunday games, you got up until Monday 9AM AEST to go 'Double Points' on your only Temptation pick of the week.

Top Gun :p Award amongst the best J-E-T-S J-E-T-SJ-E-T-S tipster

On the badges, I'm thinking this...

For all winners of supplementary comps (dropzone, high roller, last chance, temptation, 123hut, lines)
AE-Supp_zps3f133c96.png

For all winners of main comps (confidence, 3ko, next duel)

This way, it's a bit easier for admin, more bulk/generic.

I give the Purple Crown logo my #1 vote followed by Green Star as #2 choice but the Top Gun logo with detail is just as neat. Good work for creativity. :thumbsu:

HATE that silver one, don't want to see it next to my name for 2010 sup comp of spreads/line
HOWEVER, I LOVE the Gold one and I'd love to have it for 2010 ND.

Hmm, It's silver/gold or purple/green.
I'd say Purple > Gold > Silver > Green

Perhaps just play with the green a little and have that as the sup comp?
Would make it almost perfect to join the Purple :)
