Revenge is a dish best served cold.
Priming myself for this week, Need revenge.

Meanwhile… R & R gets a mention on this weeks AE13clubhouse.com write up with some classic butt kissing (read KISS OF DEATH) for a couple rookies!! travodo88 knows he may suddenly have an entourage of support around these boards this week. ;)

Wow, that was an amazing read.
And here I'm thinking 'why do I pump myself up, Woody does it well enough for me'

Somehow putting together a respectable season;

Currently;

21st overall
Still in Drop Zone
Still in LMS
Still in ND

Chance of winning any of these : negligible.
You might win Drop Zone.
No chances of the others though.

Have you seen my form?
He'll have to go 16/16 to beat me.
And ask Woody what the odds of that are happening! 0% in AE history right?

Your form is garbage. You've been a hack for the last 2 seasons.

I PUMP up whoever does great.. and sometimes cover in mud or totally ignore those who make a mockery of themselves.

Speaking of such.. here's a write up I always wanted someone else to do.. like a REVIEW of what happened.. dissect the BIG GAMES (all play-offs) in few words that doesn't just say that team B sucked or chastise for making a silly pick..although the 'come on man' question will be asked... anyway here are my passing thoughts.. got above .500 in my picks. :thumbsu: I always wondered if anyone in BF world would ever contemplate running a AE tipping comp based on OUR ND comp results… :D

ED SABOL CONFERENCE

# 1 SVEN 109 defeated #16 PHILLYCAT 104

Sven evades the DEEVS curse with the MNF Seahawks putting on a clinic against the Saints to pull him over the line against a persistent PhillyCat who paid the price by losing faith in his beloved Eagles who defeated the Cards 24-21 at home (a decisive 13 point differential) also the Bears losing in OT to Sven's beloved Vikes was another chance gone begging with an 11 point differential. SVEN didn't beat the line so he can count himself lucky to get the WIN. A great effort by the rookie to push the AE heavyweight but couldn't wrap it up in the crunch.

Sven's NEXT opponent: SODAPOP
Woody Line: Sven -5.5

# 2 BLACKY 111 buried #15 GEECATS07 89

Having an impressive campaign already, BLACKY continues to show no mercy to inferior opponents as he comprehensively puts the seasoned veteran to the sword. The big killers for GeeCats07 were the Raiders (27 point differential) and to a lesser extent, the Rams (19 points).

Blacky's NEXT opponent: SMITHS
Woody Line: Blacky -12.5

# 3 QUIN STICK 113 dunked #14 LARKIS 91

The scoreboard may look lopsided here but LARKIS wasn't too far away as three key contests could of easily had a different result. The missed two point conversion to propel OT on TNF by the Steelers was a 9 point differential, the topsy turvy lead changing Browns-Jags game was a 13 point differential and the controversial Downs SNF fiasco with the Redskins misleading miscommunication by officials on their final drive was a 10 point differential. Just two of those three results gave QUIN STICK enough CR advantage to kick away from gallant larkis who gave himself every chance.

QuinStick's NEXT opponent: LUKOZADE
Woody Line: QuinStick -9.5

# 4 BEEZ 118 smashed #13 TOMATOSAUCELING 76

To get off to a flying 27 point differential win on TNF is something BEEZ can be truly thankful for as the reigning LAST CHANCE SALOON Champ wasn't fearful of the Lions who his beloved Packers made a tradition of swallowing up but this time without A-ROD and a struggling run of losses was an very ambitious reach for double digits. Next to roast was Tomatosauceling's 11CR squeeze on the Red birds who started slowy against the plucky Eagles with the in-form #7 QB hanging points weekly. The Cards comeback got as close as the final scoreline (24-21) as the Eagles D snuffed the threat early in the drive to punch out their seventh season victory after a sluggish 1-3 start and also snap the Cards winning streak at four which leaves them 0-8 since 1977 when they last snared five in succession. beez will be thrilled to be hitting his straps now, notching a season high.

Beez's NEXT opponent: DIRTY BIRD
Woody Line: Beez -7.5

# 5 TRAVODO88 100 lost to #12 SODAPOP 110

As accurately predicted, Travodo88's low number count on triple digits was always going to work against him just as much as his belovered Bears (12CR) who needed the reliable kicker Robbie Gould to slot home the winner from a gettable 47 yards out in OT on what was already his greatest day of his life (his wife gave birth to their first son earlier in the day) BUT Robbie shanked it WIDE Right. Oh dear. Enter Adrian Peterson who surpased 10,000 career yards, to carry the Vikes in FG range for kicker Blair walsh to sink the second FG attempt in OT to seal the deal. SodaPop apparently covered 10CR on the Bears just in case but it was really the trap selection of Sodapop's beloved J-E-T-S by Travodo88 who overcommitted by 8 additional CR points. Both managed 12 winners apiece in what really was about limiting losses on double digit CR. Bottom line: Travodo88 allowed one too many.

Sodapop's NEXT opponent: SVEN
Woody Line: Sodapop -1.5

# 6 DIRTY BIRD 131 punished #11 BGT2110 101

The swagger of the 2010 ND Champ continued to roll just as it did during his 2010 Play-off run only this time, a attune guarantee of going the full card of winners was ALMOST fulfilled and ironically it was Dirty Bird's surprising non-selection of his beloved Falcons that foiled him. The Bills started fast with two endzone visits on their first two drives but the Falcons kept in touch scoring promptly to give themselves every chance. Fast fwd to last quarter.. in the closing stages of the last quarter, scores tied 31 all, the Bills were looking to close the game out with a last game score, faced with a 3rd & 1 at the Falcons 30, Rookie QB Manuel found his receiver, Stevie J, for the vital first down and red zone entry but poor ball security enabled the ball to pop out from a deflected oncoming tackle in what can only happen to the heartbreaker Bills who funnily enough repeated the dose of fumbling the ball in very much the same way on their first possession in OT. BGT2110 was always up against it having dropped another double digit game with the Browns loss to the suddenly in-form Jaguars.

Dirty Bird's NEXT opponent: BEEZ
Woody Line: DirtyBird -9.5

# 7 LUKOZADE 119 drilled #10 STRIKER475 96

The low key approach is working wonders for LUKOZADE who just refined the Larkis blueprint for success with more clarity meaning a season high score when it matters most and no fear for any upcoming opponent as Striker475 was given enough rope to hang himself with two double digit CR that cost plenty. The damning Bears OT loss which an 18 point differential and the bungling Bills OT loss which was an additional 3 point CR, the essential difference in this contest. Lukozade knows luck plays a big part in AE and he'll continue the magic carpet ride for more opportunities to land at the doorstep of the Big Dance. ND's own Cinderella story is losing it's scrubber and starting to blossom into a real life fairytale however ONE BIG MEAN ugly step sister (another rookie) awaits.

Lukozade's NEXT opponent: QUIN STICK
Woody Line: Striker475 -1.5
*************************************
# 8 NAKEDDEADGUY 101 lost to #9 SMITHS 105

Another close call favouring Smiths by less than a five point margin making it five from nine. Five differential games between them with Smiths going more out on a limb by taking on four of the five underdogs with more overall CR outlay to be rewarded with 19% the better in the dividend points outcome. NDG can perhaps feel aggrevied by overcommitting on the Chargers following their last play 41-38 shoot-out win over the Chiefs last week which ended up being a crucial 13 point game.

Smith's NEXT opponent: BLACKY
Woody Line: NakedDeadGuy -0.5

Note: that any margin over 20 its has copped a different definition aside the regular 'defeated' and 'lost' unless it's the narrowest of margins.

WEEB EWBANK CONFERENCE

# 1 CROWMAN23 110 defeated #16 JONESY86 96

Jonesy86 led 88-74 at the conclusion of the early games…….but the downside was that Crowman23 had a third of his playing CR quota in hand with two double digit CR included compared to Jonesy86's 15% and going under .500 in his remaining games sealed his fate.

Crowman23's NEXT opponent: OSMODIAR
Woody Line: Crowman23 -2.5

# 2 AXISMILES03 107 lost to #15 OSMODIAR 115

The enthralling Bears vs Vikes OT game was by far the CRUNCHTIME decider as the 23 point differiental shaped this result despite Osmodiar dropping his 10CR early on TNF with the Steelers narrow loss to the Ravens. AxisMiles03 would feel hard done by with Robbie Gould's missed 47 yard attempt no different to Chris25 's heartbreaker with that infamous Hartley FG attempt which boomeranged wide left at the last second few years ago.
The kick in the guts was more to do with HC Trestman sending out Gould on 2nd down for the OT win when the Bears reached the Vikes 30.

Before Sunday, Gould hadn't missed a kick since week 7. Robbie Gould has only missed three kicks all season and two of those came against Minnesota. Gould missed a 66-yarder at the end of regulation that would have set the NFL distance record by three yards. Before the 66-yard miss, Gould had made 12 straight kicks over 50 yards, an NFL record he shared with Vikings kicker Blair Walsh, who hit the eventual game-winner from 34 yards. A lucky break for Osmodiar nevertheless.

Osmodiar's NEXT opponent: Crowman23
Woody Line: AxisMiles03 -7.5

# 3 ARKIE 114 defeated #14 SBLACK 103

Just three differentials seperated them but the most perplexing decision was not as much the selection of the J-E-T-S but moreso the 10CR. sblack hadn't picked the Jets since Week 5 (incorrect selection vs Steelers) and his relationship with the 'Fins is close to non exsistent as two early season picks for an 0-2 record just confirms SBlack as a bona fide Dolphins Hater.. the 10CR just a tad rich for a losing season team one would think. Cap that strange selection with the touch n' go 5CR on the 'Skins vs the G-Men, this should of been a much closer result but arkie will take it at any winning margin as he notched up a season high score.

Arkie's NEXT opponent: Statsman74
Woody Line: Arkie -1.5

# 4 GALACTIC 106 defeated #13 TANNEHILL17 102

The most stirring play-off result of the round was eeringly evident when the most earthly Pats fan in the AE, chose to plunge 12CR on the team led by the one & only Eli Manning to secure the play-off victory against his own AE nemisis Tannehill17, who had already clobbered him twice. The controversial Down count calamity by the officials late in the game that perplexed not only the Redskins but also the commentators up in the booth may have played a part in saving Galactic from play-off combustion. But one has to wonder what Fitzy would say about this??!! Definately HIGH BROW territory.

Galactic's NEXT opponent: Prawnographer
Woody Line: Tannehill17 -15.5

# 5 MARKLAR33 105 lost to #12 JEFFDUNNE 116

The scoreboard may seem to have given the impression JeffDunne controlled his own destiny without dropping a double digit CR but the reality is that @Marklar33 could just as much claimed victory if it wasn't for a stunning miss by the Bears once reliable Kicker Robbie Gould, who had earlier in the day become a father for the first time. The CR differential was enough (18 points) to swing the momentum, no different to the AxisMiles/Osmodiar encounter where crazy shit like this can happen on any given sunday.

JeffDunne's NEXT opponent: Galactic
Woody Line: JeffDunne -1.5

# 6 PRAWNO'HER 107 defeated #11 SHINY ON TOP 97

A highly anticipated close contest awaited here but the infamous Robbie Gould miss from 47 foiled that grandstand finish possibility. Prawnographer would of still been in the hunt with 3CR on MNF which may have changed his mind with a new equation arising come Tuesday morning. Holding a superior count of winners overall, 12-9, prawnographer thoroughly merits victory as @Shiny On Top can only lament Robbie's unforgivable miss and Prawnographer's shits n' giggles Saints MNF selection.

Prawnographer's NEXT opponent: TCol
Woody Line: Prawnographer -2.5
*************************************
# 7 IMATION23 97 lost to #10 STATSMAN74 107

As correctly predicted, a tight contest beckoned requiring MNF to reveal a winner. The turning point game was the Jets-Fins as Imation23 plunging an astounding 13CR on the J-E-T-S….. considering he barely made a move on Rex Ryan's team all season long!! The 'Fins hate is moderate here with the 'Fins doing Imation no favours in recent selections dating back to mid-season… still, 13CR?? o_O
C'mon Man!! Anyway, with the spare 15CR up his sleeve for MNF, statsman74 , didn't hesitate in making the Big SPLASH play on the Seahawks meaning imation23 's new found hate for the 'Fins would land him in hot ND water eventually.

Statsman74's NEXT opponent: Arkie
Woody Line: Statsman74 -1.5

# 8 CHOCK NURRIS 91 humbled by #9 TCOL 118

What started with a BANG ended in a complete fizzer for the much highly anticipated MARQUEE match up of the Wildcard Play-offs. TCOL ripped CHOCK NURRIS apart at the seams… call it redemption for TCOL's humbling early season 19 point pasting or just his natural play-off poise to register post season win #8 (AE record). TCol didn't hesitate in respecting Chock Nurris' beloved Eagles with a 6 point CR the better but unfortunately for ChockNurris, his cheeky 6CR on the Chiefs wasn't gonna be enough to cover the damage already done.

TCol's NEXT opponent: Prawnographer
Woody Line: TCol -1.5
