for a professional programmer it wouldnt be that bloody difficult to implement, simply look for the next highest rated ruckman and stick him in

i thought we got over these little men rucking issues.. obviously not
It's based like that already, tho Richmond had Stafford at FF and Simmonds at CHB and proberly no rookie ruckman. Still i thought it wouldn't be that hard.

I think I'll be happy with 2006 until 2007 comes out anyway.
Maybe we should approach 2006 as the beta for 2007. Find all the things that work and don't work, also discuss the things we'd like to see and then Fiery Hawk can pass all these things on to the higher order. :thumbsu:

Adelaide (me) Vs Brisbane

5 minute quarters - difficulty hard

Adelaide 10 5 65
Brisbane 10 7 67

Brennan gives away a free kick. Adelaide with the ball at defensive 50m. 10 seconds remaing.

Long kick to half forward. Adelaide take the mark. Play on. Run to 55m. Have a long kick at goal. The ball bounces, through for a point.

Brisbane win by 1 point. Grrrr.

This is humour, Tarrant reported for pushing and was suspended for 1 match. I appealed, but was unlucky to receive an extra match suspention haha. Gee the tribunal is nearly exactly the same as in 'real life'.

I have reached round 5, and so far I have observed all that the opposition do is go long to the corridor, soemtimes even kick it from the kick-ins and the ball ends up in the hands of the centre half forward. I can't say I have seen any opposition teams play 'a little' possession footy so far.

I've hit the post a couple of times in the preseason, and sometimes it's paid as hit the post (behind) and sometimes play-on... I've checked the replays, and on all the occasions so far the ball has come back into play.
Don't know whats going on there??? Still, it's not a major issue.

I noticed that also...

I was wondering the same thing.....but I think I figured it out. If it hits the post and goes through, its a point....if it hits the post and comes back into play, its play-on. I'm pretty sure anywayz...
Yeah, that's what it should be, and it does occur that way sometimes, but if you look at one of those videos I just posted, you'll notice it doesn't worked properly all the time. But it's no major issue, and I'd say it'll be easily fixed for 2007.

Finally!

Beat my brother.... :thumbsu: .....15 point thriller!

He'd beaten me the last 3 times....and with the Bombers!!

BTW....Working on a site/forum for the game now and would love some ideas of what to add to it........

RADAR:
Yeah, like everyone else, I've had troubles with the radar. So I tried using a different controller port.
Port 1: Blue indicator (and blue on the radar)
Port 2: Red indicator (and red on the radar)
Using my multi-tap
Port 3: Yellow indicator (and yellow on the radar)
Port 4: Purple indicator (and purple on the radar)

I found yellow to be the clearest colour to see, for both the player indicators (human controlled), and for the radar.
Now it's much easier to use the radar, and also to spot which player you're controlling for marking contests (only necessary for Direction Assist OFF).
Still, all the colours, and indicators should be more noticeable....

OK after the heart breaking loss I had to have a re-match.

It was another nail biter.

Brisbane 7 5 47
Adelaide 8 5 53

My first win on hard. :D

I think now I'm ready to tackle career mode.:)

Great Goals Section! so people can upload (not necessarily to the site) videos of some classic goals they've scored. And a voting poll for it too. (Too much??)

Even if we just upload somewhere else, like rapidshare, and just put a link to it like we do here

FH, I have just observed the listed retired players and the reasons for them. Were the reasons meant to be humours or even a joke, or what? ahah. They are the most ridiculous reasons I have ever read or seen. Here are some examples:

S.Crawford retires, reason is 'Starting a music career in surf rock'. P.bell retires, reason is 'Running for state parliment', B.Montgomery retired, reason is 'Founded a video games company'...

They are pretty unrealistic and funny reasons to me.

hahahaha what about sumfin like "Body worn out" or "Lost the passion" or "Cannot preform at the required level"??? realistic stuff :p

Exactly ahah. That's what I thought the reason would look like, but none of the retired players had realistic reasons just like you mentioned.
