Yep you were the best team on the night but if we could of fielded our best team like the pies did you guys would have been toast.

Yes, the Woods had their full team on board, but wait, weren't we missing Fraser and Presti? No how silly of me, according to you they wouldn't be in our best 22.

Basically WCE have no one but themselves to blame for that loss. It was bad management in the first place as they went in with 2 players that were suspect in Hansen and Wirripunda. They weren't fully recovered so those guys re-injuring themselves was a high probability. (Since they were going down that path, they might as well have pumped Judd up with painkillers and left him in the forward line).

Also with 5 minutes to go in the third quarter, WCE were up by 4 goals in a low scoring game but still found a way to choke and lose their lead.

Since you are going with theories, I will claim that Collingwood were a 4-5 goal better team than WCE on that night, as WCE have the 4-5 goal advantage playing at home.

Mate i dont rate Fraser at all. Him and his back problems, he is suited better up forward than the ruck these days. As for presti yeh hes a good defender but seriously this guy is getting to old and slow. By the end of the season he would clearly not have been in your top 22.

Just out of curiousity, to all those who think Carlton will be big improvers, why do you think that? Because all we keep hearing is that Judd can't singlehandedly take us up, so what makes you think we'll be better next year?

because Carlton improved this year, especially in the second half of the season and showed that they could win quite a few games if they wanted it enough, or wanted to at all..
