Don't be stupid.

No team is auto guaranteed to make finals. I had Freo making the grandfinal in a ladder predictor which I did and posted on bf at the half way point of the year, however teams sometimes have horror injury runs, or imperfect preseasons and slow starts after doing well the year before. See Sydney in 2013.

If everything goes right for Fremantle, they should finish top 4 and maybe play off in the GF, however this far out it is impossible to guess.
You said freo didn't have injuries this year, I corrected you and now you're telling me not to be stupid? You've got your own level of stupidity, srs.

So hard to predict. Any team from 14th up can make the finals. My guess there will be very little between 7-14.

With most team lists starting to take place I think we can start predictions for 2014 ladder positions. I feel the tide is starting to change in the competition and a fair few teams that have been down the ladder for a while will finally awake from their slumber.

1. NORTH MELBOURNE- Very unlucky on many occasions in 2013 against the top sides. With a fit and firing midfield I think the sleeping giant at Arden St will awake at last.

2. ESSENDON- Showed glimpses of a top four side over the last two years. Haven't lost many players and Mark Thompson knows how to coach to a premiership. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

3. HAWTHORN- Would be disrespectful not to put the reigning premiers at least in the Top four. Don't think they will go back to back though.

4. SYDNEY- Premiership window is still wide open. Will have to be at their best all the time and not be injury riddled though to win the grand final.

5. CARLTON- Mick Malthouse will drive the Blues to their best season in years.

6. PORT ADELAIDE- Should be on par with 2013 performance.

7. RICHMOND - Should be thereabouts.

8. MELBOURNE- Think the Dees will finally turn their fortunes. Roos and co have been working hard on recruiting during the offseason and the results should return a much improved season. The fairytale of the season.

9. FREMANTLE- I just don't believe the Dockers will back up from 2013. I do hope I'm proven wrong as I have a soft spot for them.

10. GEELONG- If they prove me wrong and make Top 4 again they are definitely the greatest team of all at Kardinia Park.

11. GOLD COAST- Just don't think they have the firepower to win pressure games. Will go close to finals though.

12. GWS- Dramatic improvement with some good offseason recruitment.

13. WESTERN BULLDOGS- 2015 will be their breakthrough year.

14. ADELAIDE- No longer the pride of South Australia.

15. WEST COAST- New coach and loss of experience will see the Eagles struggle.

16. COLLINGWOOD- Think the Pies have some off field issues that might boil over. Can't see them improving. Will struggle for the first time in years.

17. BRISBANE- Mass exodus of players isn't for no reason. The lions are in for a long year.

18. ST KILDA- Poor old St Kilda :(

PREMIER- ESSENDON

That is the worst OP I have ever read.

There's no way Jack Ziebell will play an entire season without being suspended.

Sue me...

Great bait mate :thumbsu:

Posting for the BJ, but while I'm here...

1. Hawthorn (Buddy...eh)
2. Sydney (Success of the twin towers all attributed to Buddy)
3. Fremantle (Still unbeatable at Subi)
4. Collingwood (Finally they begin to return off the back of Pendles and another awesome year from Cloke)
5. Essendon (Fall off again late but still make it to the finals on the back of the start of 2014)
6. North Melbourne (Ride the wave of Damien Barrett's orgasm all the way to September)
7. Carlton (Mick finally starts them getting their shit together)
8. Geelong (Loss of much of the senior brigade leads to tremors on the wheels)
9. Richmond (The wheels fall off with a mix of injury and Dustin Martin. 2014's running saga)
10. Gold Coast (Metricon starts to become a fortress and their midfield really cracks on)
11. Western Bulldogs (Continue their good development of 2013)
12. Port Adelaide (A combination of less injury luck and the challenge of being in the top-six bracket)
13. Adelaide (Simply not good enough. Mainstays improve but it's not enough to really challenge.
14. West Coast (Start to run into a Melbourne-style midfield problem with a lack of class beyond one player)
15. Melbourne (Best of the rest. I dare not predict anything good)
16. GWS (Snatch a few and climb the table)
17. St Kilda (The rebuild is on)
18. Brisbane (The exodus rips through the confidence of the Brisbane group as the new kids and remaining veterans simply can't hold it together; Rockliff remains amazing)

Premiers: Hawthorn
Brownlow: Nathan Fyfe
Coleman: Kurt Tippett

Ok, table with explanation for the simple reason as i want that BJ.

1. FREMANTLE
hard to see them falter, be surprised if they weren't premiers

2. HAWTHORN
weird one, still quality but cracks are starting to show

3. SYDNEY
can't see 'em dropping just yet.

4. ADELAIDE
Have us around 4-8 mark this season, after a season from hell last we were still very close to finals so we should be able to get there this. Not really expecting 4th, just here because i have to put a team here.

5. ESSENDON
underrated due to the drugs saga but this is a pretty tough team, expect them to be around that 3rd to 7th mark

6. GEELONG
bit of a reloading season for them, not expecting to much.

7. COLLINGWOOD
similar to Geelong.

8. NORTH MELBOURNE
Dal Santo should be enough to get them to 8th, can't see them getting any higher

9. PORT ADELAIDE
could go anywhere between 7-11, middle of the table side at the moment and will live to that billing

10. RICHMOND
history states they have 1 good season in 10, can see them being the biggest slider in 2014.

11. CARLTON
see Port Adelaide

12. WESTERN BULLDOGS
showed signs of being a good side, just see a North 2013 season coming up for them.

13. WEST COAST
tough one, could see improvement but i really, really don't rate them (For the record, i didn't rate them last season either)

14. GOLD COAST
a very tough one and taking a conservative approach with them because i am not sure what they are going to do this. Potential to sneak a finals spot, but i just don't know.

15. MELBOURNE
a season of improvement for the Demons, nothing amazing but signs of life.

16. BRISBANE
going to be a very tough season for them, very much preparing for a finals push in 2015/2016.

17. GWS
more good signs, but in the end not enough there to win to many games.

18. ST.KILDA.
yeah, very much in full rebuild, see Brisbane.
