He needs help. A young ruckman who's run out of steam in the last quarter can look very ordinary. He'll build his endurance and learn a few tricks to keep in the game when he's tiring and he'll be fine.

Haven't watch many dogs games this year but his only good game was against Essendon and its was against Philips

It was curious to hear BT banging on about Dangerfield's "white socks" during the game. They looked pretty obviously to be the standard Geelong socks rolled up so that the navy hoops were obscured. What's stranger is that I distinctly remember for some bizarre reason Guthrie and Taylor Hunt used to do something very similar several years ago.

Scott got his players to slow the game right down to a tempo that suited the strength and height of his team, effectively stopping the Dogs momentum in its tracks. Clawing their way back in to the game and taking control it was straight forward from there.

I have a better statistical career than Gary Rohan.

I was on the fence when we picked him up to be honest.

Sort of player you have to watch week in and week out to appreciate I think.

He almost suffers from originally being a top draft pick as people expect more.

From an athletic perspective he'd be pretty close to Danger.

He is just not that sort of footballer though and you need to accept that he is what he is.

He’s the perfect definition of stats aren’t everything. Good win by Geelong tonight. I’m flat as 😂

That's the perfect game to demonstrate the value of Rohan when he's in form. Stuff all disposals, only a few tackles (the stats don't record mega tackles though, the ones that completely swing the momentum of the game, a Rohan specialty), wasn't holding his marks, a couple of goals (including the sealer when we were basically home anyway) and yet he was probably our most important player in the second half when the game was up for grabs.

I'll take 10 disposals and a goal per game on average from him if he dishes up a performance like that once a month.
Yeah gotta hold those marks though.

I wasn't able to watch the game, but to come back from a 6-goal blitz as of quarter time speaks well of Geelong's adaptability and mental fortitude. The result speaks to their premiership credentials more than an easy victory would've, IMO.

For those who were listening to BT and wondering what I'm talking about, see the below evidence of Guthrie/Hunt's strange superstition with the socks, something that Hunt continued at Richmond.

Guthrie has had a few of these weird customs over the journey, I remember him wearing long sleeves for half a game and going sleeveless for the second half for an extended period.

The Bulldollups lost two important players in Mason Wood and Vandameer then folded like a pack of cards. It was pitifull but not a bad game to watch .
