Great effort by the Cats, I really do enjoy watching them play. Have managed to stay thereabouts or better for so long now. Will want to start stronger than that though against the top teams.
Commiserations Dogs, started so well, I thought you had the game tbh.
When do we play Port again?

I thought I might check the Richmond board tonight after hearing about the melts. It was hilarious.

Can’t even fill a page with hawk fans envy on their board anymore but the tigers write 15 plus pages on their own board about us. :)

Hawthorn are done for the year so all their supporters are hibernating. Richmond are going pretty well, so their supporters are still chirpy.

Don't make up stories, where is the 15 pages of melts? I know your super excited in just getting past the dogs but boy they exposed some serious flaws in your side lol

Not really we just kept turning the ball over with stupid poor skills.. I also think the dogs have the best midfield in the comp..

Exactly the weakness of the cats is still pressure. Once consistent pressure is applied your skills turn to shit and by watching the game that weakness is still there. You are so lucky they only had 2 on the bench so ran out of gas.

Which were?

That opposition thread on your board is like God felt sorry for us losing Robin Williams so he thought he’d give us something back.

the level of irrational hatred in there is something to behold. It’s absolutely amazing.

oh wow that’s insightful - team plays less good when pressure is at its absolute maximum from the opposition.

And here I was thinking teams actually found it EASIER to kick, hand pass and mark when the opposition is swarming all over them.

We’re through the looking glass here people.

And the weakness of the tigers is keepings off. Hmmm. Two teams that play opposing styles.
Let’s not downplay the great form of both teams. Should be a cracking game.

Dogs
Pies
GWS

These are the best midfields imo

Pies when healthy: Pendles Sidebottom Beams Treloar Adams with Grundy rucking is best on paper.

Dogs have one of the worst ruckmen in the comp so thaf holds them back.

GWS still with Kelly Cogs Taranto Hopper Caldwell Green Whitfield ... oh mama!

It's not irrational.

Think of all those years of rodgerings we've handed them. It's gotta have an effect mentally.

I'm not dismissing what you're saying, but which team doesn't struggle under extreme pressure?

For the optimistic Cats fans, the difference this year is that we've managed to largely offset the loss of Tim Kelly with enormous improvement from players like Menegola and Guthrie.

From a borderline AA for the last eight or so years, Hawkins in unquestionably the top forward in the game right now. Genuine wildcard performers to take the team to the next level in Steven, Ablett and Jenkins. There's a few reasons for Cats fans to feel this year's going to be different.

Actually the tigers were in a similar situation against the hawks (1-33) and lost....

Is that why WB only managed 3 goals after 1Q?

Hats off to geel, good teams find ways to win, and make adjustments. Doggies played well but in the end, aren’t a top team capable of maintaining it. With Selwood out I’m still surprised nobody went to danger full time, he literally was the difference, we’ll him and Hawkins, who took his chances. Bruce surely gets dropped...

The worst ruckman actually. At least other crap ruckmans break even and contest around the ground. English is a stick insect with no game sense.
