That was a free kick every time, (unless Himmelberg was playing for WC in Perth).

Dunno about that. Even the Hawks in the commentary box said it wasn't a free.
He touched the ball and made no contact with the player. Was entitled to compete.

never in doubt

Did the AFL tell adelaide they need a different clash strip to play hawthorn....and then give Essendon the all clear against Collingwood?

there's no clash with the dons and pies

they match perfectly

Who would have thought #freekickhawthorn episode 67 would have ended like this
Considering the last goal of that game was the Himmelberg score which was incorrectly overturned, the self congratulations of the Hawks players in their post match interviews is mildly amusing. Should never have gotten that close but the truth is the Crows would have taken the 4 points but for an extremely poor decision which changed the result of the game.

Given that decision happened with 3-4 minutes anything could have occured after that. It is not like the Brisbane one against Geelong with 15 seconds left

Sorry we shouldn't whinge that Himmelberg make a legal spoil, slots a goal and it gets challed off?

Will be fun to watch you whinge tonight when Port get their usual ride at home.
Crows a few crap players (Hately Rowe) , Keays kicking and Lynch (wtf) from winning comfoprtably. Vic teams all know 'free kick Hawthorn' ... next time crows won't let that happen. Didn't deserve to win today. Need 22 not 18

Hawthorn have received the least free kicks of any club in the league in 2021, by a fair margin. Same thing last year too.

But yeah....freekickhawthorn. 🥴

That's not mutually exclusive with being able to call a shite decision shite.

It was so blatantly a free kick that it was probably the only contest during the last quarter that I didn't outwardly react to. Only realised there was any conjecture when I came on this forum to read through peoples comments.

Also the fact that we had more inside 50's, 8 more scoring shorts and more kicks and handballs.

I thought the Crows ability to make the most of their forward entires was beyond exceptional today. The truth though is that if not for a scoring anomaly (15.0) Hawthorn SHOULD have won this game more comfortably.
