Don't think you can ever really judge the losing team too harshly in round one.

On the other hand Geelong were impressive. Looked sluggish in the preseason games, so it was a bit of a surprise.
I can take a loss in round 1 but it's how we lost that's concerning no one seemed to give a **** expect for Nick Martin a first year player who was an ssp

Looks good. He should get the rising star this week. Will take a pretty special game to top him.

51 clearances to 27. It's almost as if Essendon need a big bodied inside mid or two. Where have I heard that before? Oh, that's right, pretty much every expert since Jobe retired.
I'm sure they'll address it soon...

Stringer is the one we another one of him

I would play Hobbs next week kid is not a big mid but he's an animal for the contest

Stringer has been playing some good footy, but I don't think he's the answer. Better served as a part time mid.
You need a dedicated bull in the guts.

Cats always look better when they move the ball on and don't hesitate.

I still think Geelong are on the decline, but they remain the sort of side where if you don't show some respect and put a bit of defensive pressure on you can really get belted.
Legs are slowing significantly but there's a core who know how to win and expect it to happen.
