Our selected team looks slow. Essendon in with a great chance.

People think this is the same Geelong team of previous years. We were an embarassment in last year's finals and all teams just need to focus on the tape and replicate that against us.

We have the advantage in the middle and ruck, but we're not going to be kicking many goals with that forwardline. I suspect Hawkins and Cameron will lift Geelong to a 4 goal win.

Both should combine for 6 goals between them but don't be surprised if you see us play slow and tentatively, cough up goals on the turnover and keep you guys right in it

Hawkins will kick 6 on his own. He's kicked a total of 10.2 in our last two meetings and we don't have a good match up for him.
Snelling and Walla are big outs as they usually provide us with forward pressure.

We won’t be kicking more than 7 or 8 goals in this game. That could even be generous.

I think in coming years both clubs will be going in slightly different directions but for 2022? Geelong will still have the better/more consistent season. They won’t be losing this game.

I think we will be starting the season 0-3 (Geelong, Brisbane, Melbourne) and history shows how hard a season is to salvage from there.

Excited Season 2 GIF by The Office

Game day!

We are gonna need a big spread of contributors, Something like this if we are to win.

Redman - 1
Ham - 1
2MP -3
Perkins - 2
Smith - 1
Langford - 1
Parish/Merrett/Shield/Caldwell - 2
Baldwin - 1
Draper - 1
Cox - 1

Hopefully our midfield can get on top and give us repeated entries, If 2MP can compete and get the ball to ground I think we go alright,
we will struggle to get 70pts otherwise.

Is 2MP, Sydney's version of 1377?

Dunno who will win this.

Hawkins to lift in a game that doesn't really matter. Sounds about right.

Season is over before it’s even started with our first 3 games
