I thought Lohmann's poise in the 1st qtr was the most settling thing and then the rest of the side ran on with it. Ashcroft was great, but Lohmann's early deeds were immense and set the tone... and then the Swans shit the bed... which is always great. I think this is too extreme.

Making a grand final seems to be a different challenge to winning one - but look at that Sydney forward line and it's amazing they've kicked a winning score at all this year. They paeked too early and didn't have the listdepth to throw things around in the leadup to finals.

I don't think that's a sackable offense even though they went in favoutires.

I think it all just clicked for them in the right way at the right time. They could have missed finals (ala Collingwood) with a few more losses (than what they had) earlier in the year.


AND How good was the atmosphere, daytime football is pretty fantastic stuff. Wouldn't have had the same atmosphere at night.
