Ironically the only times in the last 40 years I can recall Collingwood having a mini period of dominance over the hawks were when Collingwood was a basket case!

1998 to 2000, 2004 to 2006 were ironically periods where the pies dominated the hawks! Pies were rubbish against just about every other team in that period.
