The team that got smashed in round 1 versus the team that everyone thought would get smashed in round 1. No idea which way this one goes but I’m keen to see how the promising Richmond kids go again. Hopefully they can back it up with another strong showing.

Im thinking Port comes out red hot and really must show their supporters what they are made of

Richmond did well to beat Carlton but end of the day we are a rebuilding side with 13 players with less than 50 games and a bunch of kids going out to play and learn

Port by 60+

Port Adelaide not a rebuilding side, based on Rd 1 have a clear advantage
have 10 100-game players to Richmonds 8,
approx a year greater average age
approx 30 games greater average games played.

Port should win easily, but won’t given the disgraceful performance on Saturday, and how well Richmonds young players performed.
Reminder of the Brisbane game last year, when we lost by 79 at home.
Won 7 of our next 8 after that. Won’t happen this time around.

If the Tigers can continue to ramp up the pressure and move the ball forward at any cost, we have a slim chance. If we get beaten up early by an incensed Power, we could see a three figured loss.

Given that, I think Port should smash the young Tigers team...

...Tigers by 25 points

The 91 point loss was a statement Kenny is "checking out" and Port have thrown the season away, they're totally compromised, now. Completely bizarre they've change their game plan, too, when Ken's leaving, that means Port players are going to be even more confused and lost. I saw it on Saturday, the Port players were like deers in the head lights they have no idea what they were doing, they were as clueless playing like Fitzroy were in 1996. The Richmond players are better connected and will easily beat Port.

this season for the tige's, it's not about win/ loss.
it's about playing and developing our youth.
hoping Fawcett get a run this week and we perform well on the road.
power to strong at home.. pt.adel - 35p

Port's game plan had to change, regardless of Hinkley leaving or not.

Port's move the ball through the corridor at all costs game plan heavily relied on Dan Houston's kicking ability. And that was gone. Kane Farrell can match Houston for the long straight kicks from outside 50, but he doesn't hit the precise passes that Houston did. And the other half backs don't either. As seen by the plethora of turnovers trying to go forward in finals while Houston was suspended.

And the forward entry game plan heavily relied on Charlie Dixon's abillity to not get out marked in keeping the ball in the forward line.
