Geelong were the better, more clinical side when it counted. We could've had another 5 quarters and St Kilda wouldn't have scored another goal. Completely impotent in that decisive last quarter.

Knew the Tigs would would be up and down this season. Game felt out of reach as Port had a point to prove. Hopefully better performance this weekend.

Learnt - North are no longer a pushover and rightfully so given the leg up they have been given

Learn this: the only players who played this week that we got from any kind of FA compensation or Priority pick were Darcy Tucker and Dylan Stephens, the sub. And I guess Bailey Scott and Luke McDonald are father/sons if you want to go there.

Liked:

• hawks another win after the opponent threw everything at us
• Seeing Adelaide put on a clinic
• Seeing West Coast give it a decent crack

Learnt:

• A lot of (maybe most?) people watch the umpiring rather than the game. i.e. can tell you the 5 things an umpire got wrong but can't name the best 3 players for the opposition.
• It's still too early for conclusions - we'll see some hot and cold performances from all teams for a little while

Hated:

• The media hype Harley up for a couple of years and then criticising him for not living up to the hype they created. Embarassing.
• Trade discussions in March. MARCH! There are 9 games a weekend and the trade period is 6 months away and these guys want to talk about trades.

Liked - Tyrell Dewar. Love a good break-out game from a young West Aussie.
Learned - My teachers were wrong about 15 meters being a set length.
Hated - I have come to the sad realisation that I have no idea what holding the ball is. No idea whatsoever.

Norths win, amazing to not only win but win convincingly.
I believe our first 10 goal win since 2019!
We are in the top 8 for a percentage of 124% !!!
