Port have a lot of injuries

Essendon should respond after last week's performance and the subsequent roasting in the media all week.

Toss a coin...
if they win, idiot media will probably install them as premiership favourites

Should be a great game. Dons desperate for a turnaround in form.

Port needing to atone for their stinker last week.

Two hungry sides head to head with no room for complacency.

Hard to tip against Port. Power by 20pts.

One of the biggest games for Essendon in some time. Another ordinary loss and the club will be under the spotlight and rightfully so.
St Kilda were undermanned and pulled off an important victory last week against a potential finalist. No reason why Essendon can't do the same.

Bombers by 15 points.

Not sure why so many of you are tipping us for a comfortable win.

We have a potential KPF disaster on our hands and only 3 rounds in no less

-Jack Luko (195cm) will miss with a fractured knee injury until at the very best July, and that's if we're lucky.
-Todd Marshall (198cm) is in a similar timeframe with an achilles and also still concussion prone even if he does come back
-Ollie Lord (197cm) couldn't get up for this week due to a shoulder but even so he hasn't had a quality preseason or previous year.
-Jeremy Finlayson (197cm) has some of the worst body language and attitude I've seen from an AFL footballer which is a shame because he has the skillset but not the discipline and I doubt his AFL career will last beyond this year.
-Jack Whitlock (200cm) hasn't impacted the scoreboard in our SANFL trial games so he'll need the course of the SANFL season to get himself ready, no certainty that it would be this year.
-Esava (197cm) has to inevitably go back to defending due to our injury to BZT, so he's not even an emergency option until BZT returns

That means our tallest KPF is Georgiades (192cm) and while he's still a fantastic player, he can't carry an entire forward line on his own.
Playing two rucks for tonight isn't our worst option but it hardly gives us enough scoring power to compensate for our injuries.
And also McKay got dragged through the mud throughout the week so I expect him to respond as well

PORT Adelaide youngster Tom Cochrane spoke to AFL.com.au in February, revealing his Tourette's syndrome diagnosis and the daily challenges the condition has on his life. Ahead of his AFL debut on Thursday night against Essendon, get to know more about Cochrane and living with Tourette’s. Below is a republication of the interview from earlier this year.

Great stuff....

but I do wonder how long it will take before Hinkley uses him to deliver 'involuntary' messages to the umpires.

I was going to say what are the chances some unaware umpire paid 50 against the kid for dissent

This week I'll be barracking for Tom Cochrane. A family member has Tourette's and I feel so so happy and proud of Tom. What he is achieving will give many kids with Tourette's hope and inspiration and it will break barriers.

Good luck Tom.

Agree fantastic story

Tonight's a good test to see if Essendon's players have any pride in the jumper at all. Don't even need to win, just can't get embarrassed.
