• The game is out for Steam and PlayStation. There have been issues with Xbox release and it is unclear when the game will be available.
• Big Ant are aware that there are playability issues & bugs at present.
• Content has been temporarily removed from the game to identify where the issues lie.
• This content will be re-introduced via patches in the coming days.
• Big Ant have released a summary of what is to be reintroduced, which can be seen below.

I’m extremely hesitant about spending money on this game for the PS5…. I’ve been keen for a long time but after seeing what I’ve seen and heard. Not ideal at all, very disappointing

Not having stats at the breaks is one of the first things you’d add I can’t be the only one that thinks it’s laughable.

In AFL Premiership 2005 you could view not only full game stats, but also individual player stats. Not only at breaks, but at any time during a quarter. Amazing huh?

There is two patches listed in the PS database. I'm unsure what they mean by "issues with the zero day patch." Does it mean they had issues uploading it? Just steam? I think they need more clear communication for sure

I remember playing afl live 2004 when I was 16 years old, counting the stats playing as west coast or the mighty lions , I am now 35 and about to fire up the latest afl game on a console 3 generations up from said previous game , and all I have to look forward to is a super zoomed in cut scene of a gold coin toss ? Outrageous , what a comical few months this has been, the blatant lies from BA are next level.

Haven't bought the game yet, was going to regardless just so it'd be ready to play when the patch came out, but this is too incomplete. Can't risk accidently playing more than 2 hours and BigAnt never releasing the patch, or taking more than two weeks to do so.

Looks like AFL Premiership 2006 is still the best AFL game ever made.

Bigant if this so called game changing day 1 patch doesnt fix half of the problems like no stats, easy ai on the hardest difficulty, bugs and crashes then this is more laughable of a launch then evo 2.
Ross you were giving the new league developer crap for not releasing games quick enough but maybe they're trying to release the best possible game.

Like I said, I understand the frustration, but there's no need to build a toxic and vitriolic environment. We all want the same thing, let's just hope there's either a patch enroute or we at least get some clear communication
