STATE OF PLAY:
  • The game is out for Steam and PlayStation. There have been issues with Xbox release and it is unclear when the game will be available.
  • Big Ant are aware that there are playability issues & bugs at present.
  • Content has been temporarily removed from the game to identify where the issues lie.
  • This content will be re-introduced via patches in the coming days.
  • Big Ant have released a summary of what is to be reintroduced, which can be seen below.

Just like many people management mode is the game mode I will play the most. Need drafted players ages fixed and drafted players not all looking the same fixed before that mode is even playable. Is there any word on them two things being fixed? Thanks.

Might be worth having a stadium thread siilar to whats been done in the cricket games? People can share their stadiums and share codes (which are meant to be introduced this week). The trending part of the academy isn't really doing what it's supposed too. I imagined it was meant to sort by most downloaded but instead with get every single creation in alphabetical order, meaning it's time consuming finding the best stadiums.
 
Nothing bugging me more right now than player movement. Actually shocked that no one else is mentioning this aside from yourself. Turning circles are huge, players still run backward, sprinting doesn't work half the time when tracking a loose ball, then your player will increase speed by 200% all of a sudden when he's got possesion. However people still think this game is "playable".
Maybe they get this impression from the same place that Ross got his irrefutable Industry Data ?

Is the PS patch that is coming out tonight going to include the additional patch Steam are supposedly getting this afternoon?
I believe tonight’s ps patch included Sat/Sun/Mondays patches as per this post. Contradicted a bit by Ross’s last comment about teams creator etc but I believe it gets most of it

Fine actually played 2 quarters, they have a pretty low data cap though so I could only add about 45 small trees on the outside

If you remove all the lights it ends up using the magic moon light sadly doesn't get any darker

Wasn't it the day one patch that apparently sent this game balls up? Wonder if theres someway around that... maybe the disk version without the day one patch is the holy grail we seek

I've got the disc version, if you delete the patches and try and play with the console offline you're stuck at the start screen saying it can't connect to Big Ants servers. So it launched with DRM on the disc preventing you from playing what possibly is the best version.
 
so is this game better than AFL Live / AFL Live 2? cos it just seems like its smarter to get that cheap to scratch the footy game itch
