STATE OF PLAY:

• The game is out for Steam and PlayStation. There have been issues with Xbox release and it is unclear when the game will be available.
• Big Ant are aware that there are playability issues & bugs at present.
• Content has been temporarily removed from the game to identify where the issues lie.
• This content will be re-introduced via patches in the coming days.
• Big Ant have released a summary of what is to be reintroduced, which can be seen below.

First game with new patch on PS5. This is a fun game to play now, still a couple small tweaks needed though.
I haven't had a crash for a week now either.
I'd say we are a couple of weeks away and the haters will disappear

Don't worry, I still shake my head at certain things too. I've just come off a really fun game GWS vs Bulldogs on medium difficulty with 7.5 Mins, good amount of behinds kicked too.

Also auto interchange keeps putting Frampton on the wing please fix

In the same boat - it's like being married, you know it's frustrating and p**ses you off but you love it too. This game has so many positives, and then we just get some random bug or crash to mess with us

Becoming a pro at it won't change its obvious issues. The game doesn't respond to commands most of the time, or the players move in strange positions you didn't command, or hand pass the ball 100 metres behind you, when you want to pass short forward.

Real duality of man between here and some of the twitter comments. We’re thirsty for more patching, people in there having a dig in the comments over there that they’re still patching… interesting

We want the most amazing game we can have, most of twitter and facebook now just want the devs to suffer.

I read those comments and just think what do you actually think that's going to achieve? "hOw pAthEtic ThaT YoU nEEd To pAtcH ThE GAmE wHeN iT wAs DUe in ApRIl, yOur a DESGRACE" was one I saw - one thing my 7 year old is learning in school is when you give feedback, a key component is have a clear outcome in mind. What is the actual outcome these people want? The vibe I get is that the public are pining for some retributive justice and want Ross on a podium to stand up and say sorry whilst they throw tomatoes. Then what? Our options are (not realistic of course) BigAnt pulls the game, returns our money and we have no game OR BigAnt keeps working on the game that they acknowledge they broke with a patch. They've released daily patches since the mess up, which is more than any dev i've ever seen. Still plenty of work to go - but at least we're getting it and when this game goes, it really goes and is by far the best experience to date. Now we just need it completed.

Ye same! loving this now! can't wait for management to get an upgrade and i'm set and happy! haven't crashed and haven't experienced any glitches (beside the lack of deliberate out of bounds calls) at all in this patch.

I'm actually surprised they haven't picked up on the issues from their own playthroughs, because it's really evident the user controls aren't responsive. Especially compared to their own past games or other sport titles. I'm still having players hitting invisible forcefield walls and moving backwards for no reason, or backwards running, when they should be turning asap. I've sent all the issues to support to look at, but I don't know when they'll change and patch it up.

Only glitch I've had this morning is the long distance handball from centre square to boundary line on PS5

No crashes as of yet and hope stays that way

Especially compared to their own past games or other sport titles. I'm still have players hitting invisible forcefield walls and moving backwards for no reason, or backwards running, when they should be turning asap. I've sent all the issues to support to look at, but I don't know when they'll change and patch it up.

The killer is that it appears everyone has a different experience so replication isn't always 100%. They might replicate what you and I experience, but Johnny and Bob on the same console as us might have a different experiences and them patching our issue wrecks theirs. But yeah simple gameplay being janky surely would be picked up on the dot. Thankfully you've been reporting them though - 99% of consumers won't

Just kidding. The games in a decent spot now from an actual gameplay standpoint it’s just a few bugs to iron out, some tweaks here-and-there and for them to start adding the missing and promised features, hopefully in that order, and we’ll be as good as gold.

Please contact support.bigant.com and they can look into why this is occurring, we have crash logs here that indicate the game is now very stable for the vast majority, we'd love to find out why this is happening for you.

This happens to me constantly. Seems to be my second game I play that day in my season mode. Halfway through the 3rd quarter commentary goes off then will freeze at some point. Such a waste of my time, still filthy I couldn't get a refund from the Sony store.

So many issues to fix, players just run away from the goal square when opposition has a shot. Trying to select a player to get near the ball never works. Handballs just go anywhere but where you direct them too. Interchange doesn't work. No tactics in the game so no idea what the gampeplan is meant to be. Just headless chooks running around on the ground.

I'm still getting crashes also, my crashes have been AI vs AI though... maybe that's the reason??

Loving the game just wondering if Collingwood & Essendon will get there anzac guernsey as freo and Carlton have new guernseys in the game but we don’t have to 2 main Anzac Guernseys
