Most discs don't even hold all the content, and considering Ross has repeatedly said any early disc copies wouldn't work due to servers being offline would lead one to believe that all versions are one and the same.
Yeah discs are usually the “gone gold” version, digital versions can often be more advanced on release day, often already containing the day 1 patch

Yes but Ross has indicated that the discs won't even work without being online... so even if you pick up the physical you will need to be online and thus get the same updates as digital.

Well I just picked up my copy. Excited! Bloke at my local EB told me they’ve already sold out of floor stock for the PS4 and PS5 too

Sony have no approval process at all or something? Surely theres a genuine chance in review its removed from the store lol
I reckon Sony don't care so much if the games total shit but if it's crashing and they are getting logs and user complaints that the game crashes and is unplayable, refund requests then it's more than likely it gets pulled before they submit a fixed version.

Cyberpunk got removed from the Playstation store until it was capable of running without crashing every couple of minutes (and that was a much larger game with far more people affected). It is in the realm of possibility.

The irony in this was the PlayStation users spruking after Xbox was delayed are the ones probably going to ask for refunds and the Xbox release ones will probably be more up to scratch?
