The All-Australian trophy (5 players of your team in Management mode selected for AA) is bugged.

Got 5 of my boys named and didn’t pop.

Wasn't it the day one patch that apparently sent this game balls up? Wonder if theres someway around that... maybe the disk version without the day one patch is the holy grail we seek
Ooorrr, that whole excuse was garbage, and there was never any “ready to go version”. Why would it take so long, and so slowly incremental, to update everyone to the “ready to go” version?

perhaps because there was never that version. But as you said, why wouldn’t the version physically written to disk be an acceptable version, given it was… written to disk?

edit: T2B, which part don’t you agree with? Is the game acceptable as is for you? Or don’t you agree they needed to have an acceptable build written to disk?

Don't just stick your bug reports in this thread, open a ticket at the BigAnt Support site, that way the bug is stored somewhere with BigAnt and they have a record of it and a process in place to fix it. Just sticking it in here and hoping it will get fixed isn't the best option.
Ahh yes, good ol' production support! The most hated task at my current job, really do feel sorry for the person handling the tickets going through at Big Ant... NOT!!! 🤣

Nah, they brought it on themselves for sending out the wrong Day 1 patch. Now they need to suffer the consequences, like any software job!

Not sure about everyone else but with the latest patch I installed (Steam), gameplay has just become a congestion fest. I get that Big Ant mentioned congestion would be added but this just seems too much.

Am I the only one facing this?

Not just you but I think part of what's being worked on for tonight's patch aims to help this to a degree. Hopefully it works well.

As somebody said if you think that Thursday was the 'final' version and that they've been making new features and gameplay adjustments on the fly then that'd be impossible

It's been happening to me but not enough to be game breaking, I found you can break it up quite quickly by tapping X/Square which will fist the ball on the ground out of the congestion, or just bomb it out of there

Would love this steam patch tonight to be the one that suggest we are now turning a corner. I personally would rather the resources go into just the gameplay and stability this week and worry about the other game modes/features next week.

Was thinking the same thing- AFL Live 2004 had the pop up like below, a smaller/cleaner version of this would be awesome. Any of those broadcast feel pop ups (disposal leaders, goals etc.) enhance the in game experience a lot. Not sure previously mentioned but having the fantasy points in the stats options was also great in previous games. Looking forward to the patch tonight on console.

Definitely need that pop-up added. Your player can kick a bag and you can only try and remember how much they currently have atm

I've been trying to build some country footy grounds and getting things sparse enough is a challenge.
One ground I've been building is the Chinnery Oval in Port Augusta.
It has a wire fence and no stands. It is surrounded by trees and some water.
The trees in the game aren't dense enough. I'd love to be able to customise a background as an image and/or import 3d models with textures to add some more realism. 4 sponsor slots is a bit weird too as you are more likely to see lots of little sponsor boards, far more than four.
The other annoyance was that the Coles logo came up in the centre which would be annoying for any other league than the AFL.
Also, does anyone know if there is a way to change the ground colour? Lots more red in the soil there.View attachment 1682008View attachment 1682010
That looks awesome

so is this game better than AFL Live / AFL Live 2? cos it just seems like its smarter to get that cheap to scratch the footy game itch

The current build as its stands, AFL Evolution 2 has the more stable gameplay with fluid movement by players and not as buggy and you'll get more variations of player movements and skill choices, but they did have 3 full development cycles and feedback to bug reports to get to that point.. AFL Evolution 2 would be the go-to game right now with AFL23 not far behind in gameplay, but there are a fair few bugs that affect momentum and flow which BA are sorting out as the can. In presentation and graphics, 23 for sure.

So right now, Evolution 2 on the PS, Xbone or switch, (*switch at High graphics setting with some sacrificing of presentation features) is a joy to play, because it's got a nice flow without glitchy movements and plays quite well. It's just not as good graphically, but it's still the best choice right now for game-play until everything is ironed out for BA's game.

Is anyone building Waverly park? Or is that the same as VFL park?
Goldbergs has a Waverly map and there's also VFL park, I kinda prefer the one named VFL park but everyone's different

The main issue is that the game doesn't have many stands that go back far like Waverly did

You really think they could make this many changes from scratch in 4 days?
