As season mode was crashing for me I started an AFLW manager career. Some of you may remember I played the aflw league a bit at the start as the gameplay felt way better and no crashes. Safe to say I think it’s still the same women’s league is really smooth and enjoyable. This game alone I’ve managed to ping the AI 5 times for holding the ball (They’ve also got me the same amount but at least I’m getting paid them as well).

I’m playing around with tactics to see what works best, just had a passage which felt like an actual afl game. AI marked at my 50 and rebounded quickly through the guts. I cut off that pass and rebounded with a defender taking a running mark who Cont to play on down the wing, now with no one near me an Ai player came through the middle to cut me off, I hand balled over her to one of my players, she ran to just before50, she hand balled it off to another player and ran towards goal, in the square I had a player loose who I hand balled over the top of another defender and kicked an easy goal!

Unless it's just a glitch for me, pretty sure you can't progress to season 2 of AFLW in management mode without the game crashing. Good luck

No I haven't. The pre launch build was supposedly lauded as something special and alot better , hence I was confused as to why people would claim the version now is better when they are so many issues with the game still.

Whichever version was better doesn't matter because it doesn't change the fact about what this game is.

You yourself said management and still tons of bugs, thus this game right now is not up to scratch because literally the only thing I see working in this game is the play now mode. That's not good enough.

And you are missing the point.

If the game was better pre launch = laughable that they could even release a wrong version with the game now being worse than what it is prior to release

If the game is better now compared to pre launch = then that proves that whatever they were intending to release at launch was going to be s**t anyways because this game right now is s**t

So my overall point is BA stuffed up and game is not very good at the moment. And it's a big disappointment.

Surely now you can understand , whichever way you look at it it's been a disaster.

And lol tbh the footage I've seen of the game now is just littered with bugs and disappointment. The version I saw pre launch (albeit edited so can't tell for sure) didn't show these bugs. So no it's not really categorically proven. Though even if it is better it doesn't change the overall point.

I don't think we even saw how management mode and stuff looked before the launch with the streamers, it was just gameplay.

I think that is what people are saying and what you are not understanding

The pre-launch GAMEPLAY was 1000% better than the DAY 1 launch GAMEPLAY.

Now after all the patches, the Monday Steam version of GAMEPLAY was equal if not better than the GAMEPLAY of the pre-launch we saw.

Hopefully, this clears everything up and this back-and-forth misunderstandings and miscommunication ends.

It's a pretty good game i think, just needs some fine-tuning here and there.

Probably a request/submission of interest to very few people but I’d love to be able to see round by round Brownlow votes. Not during the year but once it’s awarded and see when the winner polled etc.
Won’t lose any sleep if it doesn’t happen but just throwing it out there!

Worth chucking on their site mate - would be a cool touch. Could work like the draft UI and just skip it whenever you want

It's a pretty good game i think, just needs some fine-tuning here and there.

The negatives I have are similar. Teleport tackles (not all the time but sometimes) and the switching of players & handballing can to be better. And then add more stuff to management.

As long as you are liking it mate, that's what counts and I'm in the same boat, I get the rare bug or 2 though, I own BOTH PS4/5, as long as the fine tuning here and there sticks around, that's what matters, I'm still going to play it no matter what, and look forward to what is ahead

Managed to draft Matthew Coulthard in the mid season draft to Richmond. The skill level definitely plays a part.
His set shot half the bar was red, I can’t take a mark with him, definitely seems below the level.

QAFL and NEAFL dont exist anymore, they folded and all clubs that still wanted to play went into the VFL

Not true, the NEAFL certainly was disbanded during COVID but the QAFL is well and truly alive. It’s arguably the strongest league outside the traditional states especially for women.

Would be better if this stuff gets fixed but not a big deal as the players aren’t involved so doesn’t hurt the gameplay.
