The term ‘haters’ I’m using is from this being ‘the Hate Forum’, as the antithesis of the BA Board being labeled ‘the Love Forum’.Calling people "haters" just for observing the glaring issues that are evident on video does not make much sense.
Why is that? I think they make decent cricket games but they have a reputation of launching shit products and having to spend weeks/months fixing it. AFL23 is probably the worst case of that happening.Surely this was a deliberate pisstake..
Because BA censor people who ask questions, make observations about the game or mild criticisms, that's why you only see very positives comments over there. Also, there's video evidence that is more objective than an "opinion". 10 seconds of players standing still doing nothing around a live ball is on video, why is this a taboo subject to even discuss that and call it hate? The divisive language makes zero sense, the objective reality is on video, it's not "hate", lol.People on the BA Boards are labeled suck ups just for discussing the game and not going all-out attack…
That's not what I call hate... it's not what I'm calling 'the haters' do....Because BA censor people who ask questions, make observations about the game or mild criticisms, that's why you only see very positives comments over there. There are comments on the board that highlight the negatives. It's not all 'love' like people think.Because BA censor people who ask questions, make observations about the game or mild criticisms, that's why you only see very positives comments over there. And what was their response to this? There are comments on the board that highlight the negatives. It's not all 'love' like people think.
I don't know for sure about all the posts that have been deleted, but I've only seen censoring on there of people who inappropriately attack the developers or use malicious language...
Here's an example of a post from FearTheBeard13 which asks questions, and makes observations and criticisms, like you mention.... but is still there.... because it's a good post, and its been there for 5 days without being censored...

Also hasn’t been responded to either to be fair. Just like the management mode questions. There are comments on the board that highlight the negatives. It's not all 'love' like people think.

None directly to that post...And what was their response to this?
If they aren't censoring comments why create a standalone forum.None directly to that post...
They did release a patch for consoles 3 days later any plenty of players are saying they're having less, if not none, of the issues mentioned.
....but the comment wasn't censored, which is what the argument was.
True... they can.... but in the example (and other posts on the boards), they didn't.Only difference is that now they can censor anything negative in regards to their lack of meaningful communication.
Yes below is a post of someone enjoying the game and then 2 posts after it directed at Freo16 reminding him the game is still broken.
The responses to that post.
Maybe they can... maybe they are....If they aren't censoring comments why create a standalone forum

If you're not a moderator there then how can you say that though haha. You only see what they want you to see. I can't see what goes on behind the scenes of a thread or board if I don't moderate it, like this one.Maybe they can... maybe they are....
I don't know why they chose to have their own forum....
I'm just showing an example that it's not as extreme as it's made out to be here.

I could provide at least 5 posts of mine on Bigant support that have been removed by their mods. They were simple posts providing criticism about the patches, game crashes, response to JNT when he asked "if it's user error" with regards to handballing. None that I would consider attacking or major criticism. One post that was removed was a question to Ross asking if he had heard anything back from NACON regarding the patch testing. This post was deleted also and marked as spam.and makes observations and criticisms, like you mention.... but is still there....
Well, I suppose here's the problem.... if a post is deleted, it can't easily be then shown to others as proof that it was deleted... hahaha.I could provide at least 5 posts of mine on Bigant support that have been removed by their mods. Thats fair and I accept your response that I quoted might be a stretch and wasn’t essentially directed at you so apologies if me quoting you came across that way, it’s was merely used to broaden the point I was trying to make. I think your words “the game is still completely broken” probs got me worked upThats a stretch. My response was saying I felt the same way but it wore off after a few games, the other was Goldberg pointing out to someone who'd played all of 2 games that a clear bug still exists.
We are hardly tearing him down or saying he's wrong to have his views. Just that he may not maintain those views after playing more games. I've never said a word to the people who claim they are still enjoying the game on a regular basis, good for them. Much different to warning someone that the novelty of the patch may not last.
I responded to a statement that said there are only positive comments on the BA Board, with a screenshot of a post that wasn't positive and included all 3 things that apparently always get censored there. If you're not a moderator there then how can you say that though haha. You only see what they want you to see. I can't see what goes on behind the scenes of a thread or board if I don't moderate it, like this one.

I get your probs frustrated with the game like a lot of others
Perfectly fair observation to makeFair enough. I did say "beyond gameplay, the game is broken" btw. I think gameplay is playable but not great. But management mode is broken, pro team doesn't exist, season mode is just play now x23. So beyond gameplay there's no game, and I stand by that. And gameplay isn't good enough to compensate for that unlike the original AFL Live.
Pretty sure their last game they actually did charge money for those updates haha, with inflation 50 bucks sounds about right .the melts here have been magnificent, but just wait until they release a 2024 DLC....for another 50 bucks
I was prepared to wait and buy the game at Xbox launch even though my brother has a PS5 and I can play the game anyway lol, but I really dont think the game is going to be at a state where it justifies spending the money, which is ridiculous with how many months they have had to get it right.Xbox owner as well, they still haven’t hit the baseline for sports gaming for me to purchase. They’ve had over three months now from the initial launch date.
I’m not going sit back and applaud the game “slightly improving” after three weeks of zero patches and zero communication.
Their Cricket games are the only ones they seem to actually put the effort into to get right, the Tennis and Rugby launches over the years have been pretty much as pathetic as AFL23, and even Cricket games which are their best product by a country mile have needed months of patching in past iterations, some people have their head in the sand regarding BA and others will just call it as it is.Why is that? I think they make decent cricket games but they have a reputation of launching s**t products and having to spend weeks/months fixing it. AFL23 is probably the worst case of that happening.
In what conceivable way can anyone say this is a good game.when all it offers is Play Now games and one of the core modes, months after release, is still a bare bones product?
