Soooo
Is the gameplay any better ?

Only played 1 game, for mine the player responsiveness improved because it felt like the overall speed of the game increased. It feels like the user controlled team moves as fast as the AI moves when they go faster and thus faster reflexes are needed.

It is the developers job to know what you’re approved to use in your game regardless of who is responsible for licensing.

So you advertise state leagues but was there an asterisks there saying that would be dependent on content approval after the game launches?
Of course there is content approval.... of the materials we are given - it is not for us to source it, as was implied, nor is it our job to do the negotiations etc. as you also implied.

In short, it's not our job, nor is it the job of any developer making a licensed product - the premise that things could have been done by us ahead of time is bogus, as is the idea that other developers do it ahead of time. We just don't do it, it's not our job!

Indeed we can't do it - to make it really clear - I have no contract with McDonalds, Toyota, the WAFL, the SANFL, or any AFL players - I cannot ask them for anything.

I've been making a heap of custom players for my SA Country Leagues. They generically have purple boots.
Are they editable? (I'll ask support.bigant.com to put a ticket in for them to at least default to black.)

Thanks for the great work you are doing - looks awesome!

Just played a game of Norwood vs Sturt

AFL Logos all over the ground in a SANFL game is dissapointing. Cutscene wipes (I think that's what they're called) also having the AFL logo is dissapointing, SANFL logo would be nicer if it is two SANFL teams.
Also, Sturt ran out to the Redlegs song. Not sure if that was just a bug, will re-test another day.

Defending ball movement is a lot easier now with the new turn mechanics. I still think it could be better at times though but it’s a good patch regardless.

Still finding there’s a combo of glitches that leave me infuriated after 2 online games tonight (and I haven’t even lost there yet either lol).

  • 400kmh handballs
  • The auto kicks after playing on quickly.
  • Players getting stuck against the man on the mark when running backwards and delaying the chance to quickly dish a kick off without being tackled.
  • Tackled to the ground no whistle, stand up play on bug
  • The auto full power kick that seems to happen only when you try kick immediately after taking a mark
  • Invisible walls everywhere still
  • Players stuck in jostle animations costing goals

At the minute online will be dominated by people who can time marks/ruck and utilise stab kicks best (they are almost impossible to defend when done correctly). If you are patient enough the AI will create so many options for you that a human will really struggle to defend.

Kinda disappointed tbh so many of these game breakers are still in the game, I know it must be hard work though and can imagine they’re all working their dicks off to get patches out day to day.

Do they not play at the AFL grounds with those markings?

Thanks,
The boots are editable, but purple by default for player 3 of 5 in Player Editor. It just means I have to change the boots to black and take the tattoos off as a starting point for new custom players.

I've told them of your Tattoo issue, that should change soon.

No they don't. They pay at sanfl grounds with sanfl markings. Only very occasionally they'll play at AO

yea how far are tactics away?
We need tactics, injuries/suspensions included in this game, it's just not footy without them in it.

Also would love to be able to do a season mode without having to change my 22 before every game, should be able to have a set 22, and when injuries or fatigue occur, that's when they get changed ect
