They recently released Rugby 25 which is in absolutely god awful shape. Imagine what AFL 23 was on release than double it.Just to add to the fun.. looks like BA are introducing a league game too. Ripped this off BGL Media Facebook page :
They are absolutely involved in a very big way.I really doubt the AFL was involved as much as was/is being implied. Doubt its on their radar at all really.
Don’t know if it’s been mentioned before but…
I’m playing on a ps5, and the biggest problem I have for the game is my player takes a mark and immediately hand passes it on the ground where the opposition picks it up.
It happens like 80% of marks in defence which usually results in a goal.
In one’s forward line it thankfully only happens around 10%
Any ways to fix this?
The thing is I haven’t made any choice. The player just handballs immediately after taking a mark, which usually results in a goal to the opponent. The AI (for human controlled teams) can muck you up even when you don't intend on doing those moves. In a lot of games I often think of my next move steps before I make them. In AFL 23 it punishes you rather than rewards you for playing 4D Chess - thus I try to not go on instinct and pace myself so I don't always play on after a mark or kick instead of hand ball or hand ball instead of kick.
I don't want to bring up the cliche user error joke again BUT sometimes it is user error lol. Like I've gone to handball in regular plays in motion (all over the ground) and instead of doing a standard handball... I've handballed a short ball not even into space, it's like the player dropped it without being tackled. But I mostly put that down to the awkward control scheme + the way I hold the controller (especially when playing it on ps5, my hands don't like the dual sense with some games).

Have you heard anything about AFL26 ?They are absolutely involved in a very big way.
The only way this happens is if you’ve mashed the handball button before a mark, so it’s basically got a few button presses still queued up.The thing is I haven’t made any choice. The player just handballs immediately after taking a mark, which usually results in a goal to the opponent.
That’s probably itThe only way this happens is if you’ve mashed the handball button before a mark, so it’s basically got a few button presses still queued up.
So why are you mashing handball either before or during a marking attempt ?
I didn’t know Namco did controllers - to busy to approve more patches I guess
No idea but I’d suggest it’s because they’re apparently re-releasing AFL23 this year with a bunch of ProTeam stuff.I see this game is now on sale for 33 dollar bucks down from a reduced price of 48 dollar bucks. When did the default price get slashed by over half?
The balls on that company if they do.No idea but I’d suggest it’s because they’re apparently re-releasing AFL23 this year with a bunch of ProTeam stuff.
According to Twistie anyways. Who knows how accurate this is
Odd to cap it but the 255 (256 including 0) makes sense in nerd talk![]()
Reached the magic number where the scoreboard failed to register a score after my last goal (still had 13 minutes in the final quarter as well lol). However the stats kept tracking elsewhere - I think 225 goals was the trigger, I let the AI score afterward to see if the Essendon score would continue to count but it didn't

The Worepedo kicked over 100 goals![]()
Capped at 225, not 255.Odd to cap it but the 255 (256 including 0) makes sense in nerd talk
Great pickup. No idea then.Capped at 225, not 255.
Not really. Why they'd be storing the score in bytes rather than ints is just strange.Well the total number of scoring kicks for the game does equal 256 so it does make sense.
Guernseys too? I hope they actually update everythingView attachment 2254189
From this tweet, perhaps, there won't be a AFL 25.
