AFL - 2nd Week of Finals

FRIDAY: HAWTHORN V SYDNEY

SATURDAY: WEST COAST V CARLTON

This week is a little tricky.

Without any analysis my early thoughts is Hawks/Eagles.

Just 5 games to bet on for this year in the AFL remaining.

Carlton should be favourites next week, not taking this week into it at all. Im really hoping the bookies put the blues up at evens or better and i will go big

I hope people do get on the Blues and Swans, it will only help pump up the price of the Hawks and Eagles.

I might have a look tonight and post my thoughts here later.

The Eagles IMO will start shorter ~ $1.60 or less.

they had a better year than the eagles who had a very soft draw. They will out run the eagles on the big ground and win. No doubt all cats fans would love the eagles to win because carlton at their best are the team who could cause problems in the prelim

Eagles at home with an extra day break will not be over run by a team that fails when it encounters a well structured, disiplined team. Anything over $1.40 for the Eagles is good value.

The Swans with the points looks like a good bet. There is no way Buddy will play, and Sydney are in awesome form. Goodes is amazing, and Reid will be too good in the air for any of the Hawks defenders. Even Jesse White will be a big threat. Shoenmakers will have to make way for Stratton, but they'll still be undersized and outclassed.

A tough road trip for the Blues will make it hard for them to come back and beat the Cats IMO.

In any case I feel the Eagles will win.

The super lines? TAB have them every week, they come out the day of the game.

And West Coast will take care of Carlton, unless Cox is out then it is line ball.

Crappo. I should have stuck to h2h and line bets this year, I'd be ahead in that area.
It's a bit annoying to make any decent amounts of money off h2h and line bets, you'd have to put down 2 resarenco's a week. * 1 resarenco = 4.5k

Remember the quotes from the Carlton players when they got beaten 26th june at etihad by the eagles... "they hadn't experienced a forward press like it in the past two years." Safe to say they didn't get challenged with a good press today so why would they be any better against the same press this time across the country ? Hope eagles go up anything above $1.60
