Anyone else sick to death of Gerard Whateley?? Cannot stand seeing him on my TV anymore.

Used to really like the bloke but he's just shitting me to tears these days. His use of overly big words just for the sake of it, his general demeanour, his blatant ass kissing of certain players/teams (eg Bulldogs/bob murphy), errything. It's cooked me.

Also, as much as Robbo cops it from most, at least he has the balls to always make statements and opinions, no matter how seemingly outrageous they seem. Gerard tries to avoid giving an opinion on a big issue on a constant basis. Sometimes Robbo will try and get a view out of Gerard and he'll either shirk the issue, give some sort of half-assed response, or just squirm in a nerdling manner

Robbo was in fine form. Kept banging on about how good a coach Beveridge is with Chris Scott and Buckley.
Scott's Cats flogged the Dogs twice this year so not sure he could add anything to the conversation except if he's good how good am I?

The only counter point to this is his outrage at the use of the video review at the GF. He tried to get Robbo involved and Robbo clearly DGAF.

Regular outrage at the goal review system, opposition to the MRP, criticism of Collingwood's list build, strong views on acts of racism such as with Goodes, Betts etc, criticism of Gold Coast's medical team. The idea that Gerard doesn't weigh in with an opinion is nonsense. His primary job on all his media platforms is to host the show, and guide the conversation, which is what he does. But he speaks up when he wants to.

His regular outrage to issues such as the goal review system and MRP are so trivial and are hardly some of the bigger issues in the big scheme of things. As said above, clearly Robbo DGAF and nor do most people.

As for 'strong views on racism', that's hardly a standout display from Gerard, purely because most everyday Australian's with a brain have strong views against racial issues and would hold outrage against racial abuse etc. So IMO it's hardly something that he can take credit for. Equivalent of getting a cheap possie in junk time.

Obviously he'll give some opinions on important issues SOMETIMES, but more often than not he won't speak up when he has the chance, or more importantly, should. It's so evident when Robbo asks him a tough question. He tries to avoid it like the plague.
