If the AFL is questioning their own appointed tribunal there needs to be a dissolution of the members of the tribunal. There's a show of no confidence there. The AFL is admitting that a hand-selected group of people following very specific rules and regs outlined by the AFL makes decisions that the AFL opposes.

They did the same with Houli. Also slapped a 20K fine on Shai Bolton for getting into a scuffle at a nightclub after the club had reprimanded him internally.

These pictures show what a dead set joke the officiating is. As the ball is being thrown up one Essendon player is facing McKenzie and away from the ball with the sole intention of blocking McKenzie. I didn't detect this in my earlier post, but Sheerin's opponent can be see here illegally holding Sheerin's jumper to stop the Richmond player moving to a different position. Wtf are the other umpires doing here? That's 2 very clear free kicks. From there, what the hell is Sheerin supposed to do but try to push the cheat out of the way? She was first being held, then being blocked from the line of the ball - in both cases illegally. The second picture below shows the Essendon player has blocking Sheerin's path to the ball as her top priority, her weight is leaning back into Sheerin. There is no other legal way for Sheerin to get access to the ball other than pushing the opponent in the side. And it was the Essendon player who dictated she was in line with the umpire, not Sheerin.

This should not be even graded careless. Sheerin is only trying to legally play the ball & she was given no alternative way to do so by:

a) umpires missing 2 free kicks against her and one against her team-mate, &
b) the positioning & illegal conduct of her opponent.

You know, a while back, I reckon it was in Vlad's rule... He threw out some advice to his execs at a boozy lunch..... Gill etc.... Never hire someone smarter than you, below you.

Pretty clear that has been the go-to play at AFL house for some time.

AFL appeal thrown out within 10 minutes. Embarrassing they’d appeal that decision when they’ve only appealed about 5 decisions in the last decade, despite some absolute shockers where blind Freddy could see the decision was deplorable.

Sure, many people could say Sheerin was a bit lucky to get off, but that’s ok … sometimes a decision goes your way in a 50/50 call. But nobody with half a brain could say the original decision warranted an AFL appeal when they almost never appeal anything no matter how bad the decision is.
