I heard he was at training at hawks, got a phone call from norths upping the offer, he turned around threw his bag back in his car and went to norths. Very reliable source who watched him do it.

I was at fretwell to see norths v souths, richter was named in best but had 3 kicks! had couple marks and handballs too. I have no doubt he is a good footballer but he was not in the best last saturday. Not against him, just think he could have dealt with it alot better.

watched the Centrals v Souths game today, the pressure the bulldogs were under was amazing, they had a massive day off the goal kicking someting around 13.24 kept Souths with a chance 10.5, wasn't much in it all day till final quarter then they ran away with it.

Well worth the admittance fee, good hard game.
one man in orange spoilt the last 10 mins. but otherwise they stayed out of it.

Norths had a very good win against an out of sorts Saints yesterday. Norths played good flowing, running football which was a bit too much for the Saints in the end. In the top of the table match in the reserves, Saints an easy 7 goal win with the margin flattering the Tigers who scored the last 3 or 4 goals of the game.

What's wrong with the Saints Lachrilly? They have a few out or just not good enough? Norths have been playing some good footy the past month.

Hawks had Port 22 down at half time, just let the gates open a bit in the third and drew in the last. Not a bad effort from a hell of a lot of kids from hawks. Good hard game with a few scraps here and there, nothing serious just a bit of flag flying, was good to watch. Port missed a frew and we're pressured into missing a few too, so all sets up for a good meeting next time.

The team has been very unsettles all year with injuries and people un available. I think the loss of one of the leagues best ruckman Matt Hammond for the past month has hurt the side. But take nothing away from Norths they played a quick brand of football. but when it comes to the crunch i dont think they have that big target up forward to kick them crucial goals. That could be the difference in them making the finals or not. But if play like they did on saturday they are every chance to push the top sides.

That's no excuse though surely, every team goes thru that. Manunda has had 45 play senior footy this year, injuries and unavailability- hasn't come close to their best 22 yet. But I would have thought that was a common theme among clubs.

No doubt your right. If Port are to be threatened at all this year the other clubs have to get healthy at the right time or they are a shoe in for the flag.

Would have to agree with you and I think it also depends if the players are hungry for it as well. Souths gave Centrals a scare on Saturday and have players out. A lot of the young guys have been getting promoted and have gone well.

you must be kidding, at stages Centrals were in a panic couldn't clear the ball, under a great deal of pressure. Souths were the better at times and lost it in the last half of the last quarter.

40 scoring shots to 17, pretty much tells the story. Bit of pressure but only prolonged the inevidable.

And if centrals are on the slide that much then how bad are saints going...

another one DID YOU WATCH THE MATCH be fair and comment correctly they were panicking at stages even the coach said so, was there and heard him, I don't give a damn about you reading the stats. I can read what I want to in any of them from any club playing, it doesn't give a 100% reflection of what happen on the day. For them to kick over 20 behinds helps show the pressure they were under.

By the way Centrals cannot and will not win the 2010 premiership they are not stable, too many ego's and cheap shoters.

today the Hawks were way too strong for Souths and Blitzed us at home.

Well done to them they are a strong chance to Knock off PD in the grand final

You sound a bit defensive there Tamba; lets be honest, your senior side would PROBABLy win the reserves flag, and might beat cities at the end of the year, but you are lucky you have some loyal 2's players sticking with ya. From what I can see, there are 4 teams fighting for the runners-up trophy.....

Any thoughts

Senior Premiership : Port Douglas
Reserves Premiership : Saints
Senior B & F : Beetham
Reserves B&F : Harris
Senior Goalkicking : M.Shaw
Reserves Goalkicking : Batten

Beetham has been close before in a crap side so surely this is his year

They did play well and deserved to win.

I know there has been a lot of whinging in the past about umpires but Saturdays effort at Fretwell was a lot to be desired. It's not sour grapes and as I said the Hawks deserved the win. But the umpiring was crap. One example, the goal umpire called that the ball was touched and was over ruled by the field umpire who was at least 60m away. The goal umpire was standing right over the top of it and had clear vision.

Hi, I'm hoping someone out there can assist and possibility point me in the right direction. I'm alligned with a club in the Southern Football League in Melbourne and we are looking to turn a club in turmoil into a prosperous, professional, vibrant and enthusastic club. We would like to provide a young player with an opportunity to play Senior Football in Melbourne. We would provide the player with a job, accomodation and a return airfare. We are looking to recruit several players aged 18/19 so we would be looking to secure someone of a similar age.
Would appreciate any advice on this matter or any suggestions.

was there a few big injuries from the tigers hawks game couple from each team any news from the camps
Great game of footy last night, best I've seen all year. From what I saw Richter, after absolutely dominating, dislocated his shoulder half way through third, CHF Jorgensen depressed cheekbone, and reynoldson did not come back after half time. The narrow loss was costly enough, but losing them 3 will hurt even more.

Hawks lost there captain and full forward kev rundle in the first quarter, rundle will be right in a week or so, may even get back this week. Was a great game by both clubs. Tough, hard and full of good old fashioned tight contests around the ground. Young Brown for hawks completely shut down a fine rover in reynoldson. Shame about Richter, was very handy even if very loose. Hope he recovers ok.

Whoa what a blowout in the Port V Centrals game, whats the go there?
I see Miles keridens name is back on the Hawks list, did he not go south with SJ?

Just a few questions from the season so far.
Will Port lose a game? I dont think so
Will Souths win a game? No chance
Is the final 4 settled? With Norths injuries from the weekend you would say yes.
