As opposed to all of the hard ball you get during the year plugg?

Lets be honest, you have next to 0 football experience/skills so anytime you make comments about skillful players that are actually playing senior football you can rest assured that people (as they should) are just rolling their eyes knowing that you dont know wtf you are on about.

I agree with Lachrilly, its about knowing your limits and knowing how you can impact the contest or help out a team-mate who is going in for it. It does no good to have 22 blokes all running in for the footy, you need outside players, it doesnt mean they are scared, it means they are aware. You would know that, if you knew how to play the game. That concludes our footy lesson for today, next week we'll tackle some of the harder issues that you clearly struggle with everytime you take the field, like leading out of the goalsquare.

Hallas is a gun, 28 goals in 13 matches, named in the best 8 times this year, kicked 8 against your mob in April and 2 on the weekend, so as lachrilly said NEXT.

Great biased defending of your own player, appears that is fine to do over at the Saints? :thumbsu: And before you attack me, you know nothing of my football experience or background. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

It's good to see once again you HadToPost though

Maybe Ben Hallas should be under the pump hey Lachrilly? All video footage I have seen of the guy indicates he doesn't like any physical contact. I suppose it's not something frowned upon being scared in a game of football these days. But if we are talking about critiquing players, he should be on the list right?

Hallas is a bit of a fairy plugger you are right. He is not as tough as some of his team mates or other hard nuts in the league. He is also a little ugly and bats a long way out of his crease (His missus is quiet the catch). A fair assessment Plugger and i'm sure Ben will learn from your post and eat a few wagon wheels before his next game in an effort to become a harder player.:thumbsu:

Hahaha fair call Glen, but to be fair to Hallas, you are comparing him to players in his side a lot of the time and when a side contains a Luke Parsons, I feel it is a litttle unfair. As for his missus..... she once winked at me. How do so many blokes at Saints over achieve? Porter, Parsons, Swards, Hislop, Mulvihill.... the list goes on.

I was told why Hallas's name came up on here and to be serious for a second. Plugger - I hope you see the issue (away from footy) and be a good bloke about it to assist the little man.

As long as he has a resolution to these issues then I see no problem in his games. I'd also probably recommend hot chips instead of wagon wheels haha :thumbsu:

Onto it Plugger, just have confidence in the old wagon wheel after banging on 3 kg in a past effort, but I did have a strict instructor. But if your name is plugger, I guess you would have a rough idea of what works! Hot Chips pre game it is. Choice of drink?

Lachrilly - 50kgs??? please... 52kg pre dump. The darl is happy with what I bring to the workbench also thanks Glen. I think she still had pink eye when she winked at you Grimey.

Choice of drink is hard, I find Sunkist or Fanta tastes like shit. Maybe a nice Powerade, just don't choose the red one as it stains your teeth for a period of time. May be fatal if an umpire see's your teeth and sends you of with the blood rule.

How has Hallas being a girly man generated so much interest? It's hardly news.

I've been to his house and it's wall to wall pictures of himself, so I'm sure he's confident enough and doesn't read too much into this. People belt him every week and have been calling him a girl his whole life, so doubt it won't affect his game style either and he'll continue to receive handballs from his team-mates and team-relatives.

I dont' think it's pinkeye, I think she just has a lazy/roving eye

Here, here HadToPost, Hallas is a gun! He is not only a smart player, he is also skillful and very consistent. Plugger, you talk about "Great biased defending of your own player, appears that is fine to do over at the Saints".... You're probably one of the most biased people on here....always defending the Hawks players so don't you start on that. I have no doubt you would welcome a player of Hallas's calibre in at the Hawks.

Congratulations carl41, your now on the list of people who don't listen on this forum. But it's okay, you should feel right at home in your new enivorment.

My whole angle of starting about Hallas was to prove that everyone on here is biased about their own club as much as the next. Saints proved without a shadow of a doubt they are biased for all Saints players as much as I am for Hawks. Doubt you will find one Cairns local on this site who will not be biased to one club or another.

Game, Set and Match.

Got no comeback to that Plugger, you're 100% right....bet you don't hear that too often :thumbsu:

Your not supposed to hear that "you are right" on this forum, really it's the whole point of it. It's supposed to be a stir and a bit of a laugh, but then people get a bit serious or actually believe it is serious and thats when it becomes dark and bitter enviroment. I think Ehlich and Marto are great footballers, do I think they are the best? No, of course not. Otherwise they wouldn't be in Cairns. They'd be making at least $250k a year and living in luxeries lap.

That is the area everyone forgets on here I believe.

He hasn't said anything wrong in the paper today but poor Griffith is quoted a lot. I guess when you are the bench mark of the league you expect the attention. Viola is quoted also but it seems they base the article on what Griffith is thinking.

Is White playing tomorrow? After seeing Saints stretch the Hawk backs in height last week I reckon Viola would be crazy not to have him as another option.

Hallas being a gun is a big call. He is a very smart, team orientated footballer from what I have seen. Would I be right in saying he also coaches a junior side?

He coached the u/14s with Luke Parsons also one of the senior saints players. Great effort to give up every Sunday to help out the juniors.

Tips for the weekend -
Port by 13
Saints by 20

Tips for this weekend -
Hawks by 23
Hawks by 7 :thumbsu:

As for the AFL finals.

Geelong by 19
Collingwood by 32
Sydney by 9
Carlton by 15

Hawks by 1pt
Saints by 36pts

I think the main reason Hallas and Parsons decided to coach the u14's was because they were getting pressure from their better halves to pop the question and start a family. They both got scared so decided to spend as much time out of the house as possible.

I think it backfired and all it did was show the better halves that they're great with kids. Both will be knocked off the perch soon.

Geelong by 2 pts.
Pies by 32,
Sydney by 9,
Carlton by 34, after being down at half time.

Game, Set and Match.

Exactly.

Ressies - Saints will be too strong for Hawks

Seniors - Port will account for Hawks

AFL -
Geelong
Collingwood
St Kilda
Carlton

I would also like to mention that our Reserves coach "Irish" has had a wonderful year coaching the lads into the Grand Final. Great bloke and great coach!

Don't think any of you really gave the Reserves a hope in hell today, but the Irishman and boys held strong!

Well done to the lads from Hawks getting both teams into the Granny,

now win both the buggers :D

On'ya Irish,
(we had had a few tipples of the fine stuff over the years together)

Were did port fall away? Looked strong half way threw the year and were looking promising to take it out? Also tips on the grand final and were it will be won? Saints by 3 goals for me
