But realistically the only club who could help you in the situation of this bid is landing the 2 GWS picks and sacrificing one for Kako.

I’m proposing giving you a second for the bid and an F1 you can trade back in post bid and saving you a third rounder equivalent in points.

It’s highly unlikely you’re going up high enough before a potential bid which seems to be you requiring a pick in the 1-4 region based on Cals info today.

Peels success has aligned with the fremantle alignment and them having a strong/healthy deep list. They always perform better in finals when they get their AFL listed players

So when Rosa was hired at Peel, they said he "...will have a role overseeing all Men’s, Women’s and Community Football Programs at the club. While also providing the coaching, support staff and player's guidance and direction as to the management of training and game day activities. He will also be at the centre of recruitment, with a focus on building a strong culture and high standards amongst the playing group."


...and that he'd be working "...with Senior Coach Cam Shepherd in building and adding to the current mix of young up and coming talent, Premiership stars and experienced AFL players."

After winning back to back premierships in '17 and '18, Peel didn't play finals at all in '19, '20, '21. They returned to finals in '22 and played in a grand final in '23.

They also didn't have access to AFL listed players in 2020.

Further, it was through the work of Rosa that an agreement was reached with Freo to give Peel access to up to 13 AFL listed players, from 2021, as a means to support development of local talent.

Because those later picks will get used up matching the Kako bid.

IN the event there is an early bid on Kako the only way to play it and still get a first round pick in addition to Kako is to trade out into next year, match the Kako bid (using up our 2nd round pick), and then trade our newly acquired F1 to get back in later in the first round.

A club with a pick in the 10-13 range might be a good candidate for something like that because the net effect is a free pick upgrade for someone in exchange for letting us get a first round pick.

There is a third option; which is moving up the draft order from pick 9. This proactively ensures we are scuppering any spiteful bids on Kako by the Saints. I prefer this proactive option rather than being reactive on draft night and hoping that the Dees/Dogs are up for that trade on the night. What happens if we line it all up and these other clubs pull out?

West Coast could be after more capital next year in an attempt to get Warner home.

Pick 9 and our F1 for Pick 3 is a good call imo.

I actually think we will finish bottom 4 next year, I also think we might lose a Draper to FA next year and end up with a compo First rounder anyway.

Reading about his love for the physical side of the game from his league background but loving AFL because it’s 360 and more exciting has me sold. Looks a fantastic little nuggety back pocket prospect.

Seen players like Tom Sims, Gabriel Stumpf, Jordan Dohertey, Clancy Dennis, Harry O'Farrell considered top prospects but looking likely to be taken 3rd round or later

Mostly key forwards but I reckon a lot of them may end up key defenders aswell anyway. Very even spread of talent amongst them aswell

What are your thoughts on the Stingrays ruckmen? seems an extra midfielder with some numbers he put up this year

Yeah Doherty is impressive his 20m wasn’t great but hard to argue his mobility on the field. He certainly plays like an extra mid as I believe he had a huge growth spurt.

I’d be suprised if he isn’t taken as a rookie at worst

Sims looks better in the ruck than forward. Lacks some forward craft and is more dangerous on lead.
Stumpf is a terrific athlete who is is a project. Lacks forward craft and ability to win footy. A lot like burmiester.
Docherty is a ruckman who covers the ground ok and can win some footy but does lack some physicality.
O Farrell could turn into a good intercept defender however questions on his competitiveness.
I have not seen Dennis live thus I will not comment.tauru, Armstrong, trainor, shanahan and Faull is probably how I rate the key positions.
