Jonathan Brown 10 goals! Awesome... kept my faith in him and he's repaying me nicely. I also noticed Kane Cornes is off the tagging role and out and about again. Cassisi is back to his low scores again (hoorah!).

Troy Simmonds with 86 DT points..... not bad considering the opposition. Could be picking up his game for the near future.
yeh didnt like that move cassisi was one of my unique centres that was scoring well

so many bargins next year as well....next year 2500 will be a low score

and i dont have unique players, my uniquest is probably frazer or birchall, last year i was like one of 1000 people who had massie and michael johnson, now my lowest is like around 20k people

one more thing, if you dont go full on clone your team will suffer bad because the clone players are all superstars, sorry if this was mentioned i didn't read the posts before, im def doing supercoach next year

These players might matter in Overall Points, but if your focus is on a league win, doesnt matter how much of a high scoring player they are, they have to bring there game that week.

Its like when Franklin outscores Riewoldt, it makes me all happy knowing that my opponent has Riewoldt.

When it comes to finals, all i want to happen is that Young, Mattner and Hille beat your above mentioned players ;)

It will be a secret win for unique players in Australia :D
Oh obviously we are both talking from different viewpoints.
For me overall ranking is more important than league (for the record i'm 1245th overall and 2nd in my league).
League used to mean the most to me in past years, but a lot of guys in my league have lost interest this year so it doesn't really hold much bragging rights etc anymore.

Can't believe I took some people's advice on here and Took Mclean over Hayes ['he scored 102 in 60% game time, scores 100's when he's not injured and etc]

Since I've had them

Brock - 50, 68, 50, 118 and 27 [nearing 3/4 time] = 313* [still a bit over a qaurter to go]

Hayes - 96, 103, 69, 146 and 131 = 545 points

Moral of this rant - trust your gut feeling

yep, got haselby over lewis, chose darcy over mcintosh, got simon black over scott thompson and chose freakin gilbee over carrazzo because of you jerks on here :D

ima only listen to myself and my best friend who finished top 200 last year from now on

Overall is important to me, i like moving up and dont like moving down.

But if your in a competitive league, the fun of winning is just the best feeling on a Monday morning.

and WakeUpTaz's point about having to choose the clones as they are superstars i agree with completely.

But whats the fun of hypothetically going to Grand Final day, and hae21 players that are similar and the result varies on that one player.

Players like Dave Mundy saved my a$$ a few times last year.

Not fun at all, and too monotonus.

Ill be the 500th person to say lower the cap.

With an AFL fantasy competition based on a draft at the start, single ownership, a pool of free agents (players not in any team in that league) and inter-club trading:

The head to head aspect is made more realistic. :thumbsu:

Overall ranking becomes irrelevant

I let the Great Nebula1971 influence me into getting Nathan Bock :D:D:D

By the way where are you Neb? And how much of the 50k is going on the bar when you shout our entire league????

Thats the problem though dude. If you pick a team based on what other people tell you and you end up being in the top 10... its not really "your" team. Everyone else picked your side for you. Whereas if you had great reasons to pick the players in your team - reasons you came up with on your own, then its your team.

I had Carrazzo / Birchall / H Shaw / Priddis / Rodan / Selwood / Foley / Pendles from Round 1 - and none of these selections were made based on what posters on BigFooty have said. In fact - some of those players at the start of the year were laughed at as selections by other posters.

moral of the story: pick your own team

you werent considering all those players, so stop complaining
yes i was, again you must be a know it all that can see what i am thinking, i read on the kangaroos site that mcintosh might be tossed into the #1 possie this year before the season started, my bets friend had thompson every year and has been telling me how good he is and i cannot take it how a hawks supporter from my class brags on about their "young talented midfield"

you are a idiot

currently on 1427:mad: Need a big match from Captain Boomer.

Im a late starter.:D Joined DT in Rd 7 when my mate invited me to his league. My first year and cracked my first 2000 last week.

These guys ****ed me up:
Mcphee
Richitelli
Shaw
Lewis
Fletch
Kosi
Gilbee
No Black and Sandilands.

Still have Harvs, Swallow, Firrito (in for Black) to go.

The good thing is Ive won all by league games. Im 10-0:).
But I might lose my first match this round.

A 17 point last quarter from Sinclair will see me to 2400. I'd be closer if i didn't forget to put West on the field, though he would have only replaced Martin Clarke. Netting me a whole 8 points.

Taylor replacing Sandilands has hurt a little.

My league game's going down to the wire, although I think he has me covered

He scored 2251

I'm currently on 2172 with a qaurter to come from Sinclair, J Mac and Brock Mclean

Need 80 points for the win which is unlikely, but may happen
