This may have already been posted somewhere but there is a strong rumour that M.Gardiner is out for possibly Raph Clarke or Clint Jones or maybe even C.Gardiner. I doubt this affects many people though.

Samwise I'm thinking along the same lines as you. I have considered him all week this week aswell. I am now tossing up between him and Cornes. I think I will Cornes aswell as he loves showdowns and loves playing against us (in an recent game he kissed the ball, pointed to the scoreboard, etc, etc) Sounds like the arrogance I want as captain! Although Bowden is still on my radar.

I just don't see the point of coming on and saying what you expect from your players.. obviously you expect the most you can reasonably hope for and anything else is a bonus. Sure say who you've got tonight but if you start posting "Oh I expect 400 from these four guys" all you're doing is jinxing it and setting yourself up for disappointment.

Once the round starts and people jump on spouting their "projected" scores from remaining players....ffs. They actually sound shocked and disappointed at the end when their "projected" scores end up being complete rubbish.

You can't project a score based on players' last year averages (or however its worked out) and expect it to actually mean anything.

It may as well be a random number generator.

It was a joke buddy. For what it's worth I agree. I tend to just gloss over such posts - there is no question there anyway.

It's simple maths just like a tennis tournament just a lot bigger.

the field gets halved each week until 15 weeks later it, 1 versus 1
Will therefore commence round 6

Haven't heard anything about the teams yet should be reasonably soon

I was wondering what i should do with schammer. Does anyone think that we will start to post respectable scores (70ish)? I was thinking about downgrading him to tuck and starting either tuck, palmer or bird.
Iv got about 100k from the start of the season but i was really wanting to use that money to upgrade a backman to burgoyne or cornes in the coming weeks. Should i use this money on shcammer or not?

I have rioli and gamble and i am starting rioli. That being said if i had hill i would definitely start him

I ejected Schammer yesterday. I don't think he's going to get better and I haven't got time to sit around waiting. He has a BE of about 60 so there is a better than average chance he is going to drop some cash from his already meagre value this weekend if the first two rounds were anything to go by.

I think it's a good trade, but also a trade nonetheless so it's a bit pointless.
