Aker BOG in the intra club match, is anyone considering him?

It said in the Herald Sun a couple of weeks ago Aker will be a tagger this season, so I'm staying away from him...Nice to see he is getting into some form though...:thumbsu:

nah.. sorry.. (should have sat there with a pen and paper! haha).. what roy wrote was pretty much it - we only watched the first half...

vins article on our bog a couple of days ago was spot on.. like seriously, before buddy even touched the ball, he gave away 3 free kicks.. was funny..

That's alright....Nice little report as well..! :thumbsu:

Could be used in that role not will. Big difference.
Having said that. No from me.

Oh yeah sorry Chief

How did you rate your first year with the Bulldogs?
I was disappointed. My experience meant I was able to be a contributor without being a liability. I produced some good football, at times, but it was the first year in a long time that I'd been inconsistent.
I've been speaking to (Rodney Eade) about playing a bit more of a role. I've still got a really good motor and I want to play in the midfield, where I can go in there and shut down a player.
Aker the tagger? Bit of a change?
That's where I started. I started playing my best footy in 1999 when I was in the back pocket. I'm confident I can play that role again. And to be honest I probably need it. I'm getting older and I don't want to be boxed. I'm not just a half-forward any more.

lol ok. Aker said he would like to play in the midfield as a shut down player.
So that means he 100% is going to be playing as a tagger?

Yep ok.

I didn't ever say he will be a tagger 100%, I was just thinking he'll be used as more of a tagger...Bit of a difference... He has been talking to Eade and he didn't really hesitate, and he is showing that he really would like to play there..

Your post predicts that Aker WILL be used in the role.
He might. Eade could say a lot of things. Or Aker could say that Eade could say a lot of things.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Just trying to catch up.

Hang on, I'll just go through some of your posts HBG that are a wee bit incorrect...;) It'll take more than that to catch up..:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Lets just say that roughly you had, well $253,900 to spend on a forward option, who would you pick!!!

Roughead
LeCras
Higgins
Boyle
Hawkins
Jetta

Like the looks of Higgins.....any thoughts?
higgins would be who i would choose (and have)
no real reason other than think he will do better than he did last year
there's also tredrea or newton or aaron edwards or mitch clark or mark williams in that price range as well who could get some good numbers

haha... i'm not a fan of Boyle (because he burnt me vs some mates last yr).. but he did look good! 4 goals in the first half... looked better than buddy!

Who would y'all choose for your side in the mid-field around 285 - 335K. Thinking of T.Johnstone & N.Jones Thoughts?

Bulldog here wants to know what a good midfield option between 235k and Travis Johnstone would be a good pick up.

Okk...umm....The ones you mentioned Bulldog were good, see how the NAB Cup goes & how they go at training, that'd be my advice...;)
