The current backline:

Scott D Thompson
Andrejs Everitt
Sam Fisher
Darren Pfeiffer
Harry Taylor
David Myers
Jake King
Jason Gram

Is that too much risk, even ignoring questionable choices such as King and Gram?

Far too much risk for my likeing.Youll be lucky to average 50 points per player out of that lot which will kill your score.

Much happier with this team than my original effort, although still some rejigging to be done.

Thoughts?

Solid side tbh, not too different from my own. My only real gripe is with Barry Hall..Can he still produce the big numbers?

Also Brock McLean, can he handle taking the majority of opposition heat in the Melbourne midfield with the absence of Trav Johnstone?

lol if you hadn't already noticed Port Adelaide have had a lot more of the ball. thus meaning boak has had more of it than gibbs.

....and are we forgetting Cornes, Cornes, Burgoyne, Burgoyne are not playing so don't expect Boak to score higher than gibbs this year...

Carlton mind due are only missing Judd out of the top mids...

its a NAB cup match. i'll put money on it that gibbs will make you more money in DT this year than boak

What the???

Your mind is overdue.... for a service!!! :D :D :thumbsu:

Not a bad looking side with a few guns on every line which you need.My only gripe is Nicoski as a starter. The only reason so many have him in their side is because he is cheap but he looked terrible on the weekend and turned it over too much which will kill you in SC.Brock Mclean is another one i would be weary about as he is too injury prone and is yet to put a decent season together and for his price there are better options

Good team I say. I would only question the bolded players.

Yeah, Mclean and Nicoski are questionable and I'll be looking at them.

On Armfield, I'm very happy to have him as a reserve. He is a 21 year draftee and is physically mature and I wouldn't be surprised to see him as a fixture in the 22. I'm expecting him to have a similar season DT wise to Jake King last year.

Barry Hall, at that price is great value IF he can get over his injury issues. I recall reading an article claiming he was, so I'm willing to take a punt.

Here's my second crack at it. Probably will change abit but here goes.

Schammer will have a big year for freo.. over the injurys..
Both ellis and nicoski good cheap defenders
How can u go past brown and riewoldt.. def having both
and cornes should be one of the 1st picked in every team

First picked by me, every year, for at least the past four years. I never question it and never regret it. Too easy!! :D

Will be starting with Brown & Riewoldt too.

I have constructed what I think a team which will be very simmiliar to my round one team.

But I am a bit skeptic on these players:

Waite (Will he be going down back on the monster forwards or will he have some freedom as a playmaker?)
Hurn (Will he get more gametime in the engine room as a ball winner and deliverer to the forward 50 which is his natural game?)
Goddard (Is he over his knee?)
Dempsey (Is this his breakout year? Will he play the magority of the season?)
Lade (Is he past it?)

If you have any thoughts that there are better players at the players price or even lower please give me some advice. I have 6k.:thumbsu:

But I am a bit skeptic on these players:

Waite - In my team atm. Not sure either.
Hurn - Not for mine.
Goddard - Another tough 1. Wait for NAB.
Dempsey - Overrated, will be average imo.
Lade - Yes, past it. Had him last year, very dissapointing.

Answer in bold :p

cornes + newman or bowden + burgoyne.

definately cornes and newman if i can see some consistency in newmans game similar to that of a sinclair type player over recent years.

thoughts??

and btw, does anyone know if they have DT scores for NAB challenge matches over the next few weeks or not recorded??

cheers :thumbsu:

Hmmm im still undecide about chornes (chad cornes) i've heard he will be playing more of a forward role this year, so will hsi numbers increase or decrease....hmmm interesting one also what are people's thoughts on dew, are you going to have him? Steve johnson could also be the next brad johnson, thoughts people?? thanks...

IMHO Cox and Chad Cornes are not worth the amount that they are, they will eventually drop in price and become a more generous price.

I don't get why people are putting Stuart Dew and Nathan Thompson in their team it is as risky as leaving a little boy and Micheal Jackson in a room together.

I repeat Dew and Thompson in your team will be a major downfall.

Watch.
