Jonathan Brown has scored poorly in the pre-season. Did he have a full pre-season? I know a lot of people have him, he also did have a poor start last year and then came good, but how do people see the likes of Lucas, Brad Johnson and Riewoltd score this year compared to Browny.

Ive been thinking along the same lines as you. I have been tossing up with Brown and at this stage i have Reiwoldt instead of him. I myself havent considered either Lucas or Johnson as replacements, but one person i have is Quinten Lynch. He is not as reliable or as proven as the others but he is considerably cheaper and has been showing very impressive form of late.

yeah but look at how many games he has played those years (incl finals):

YEAR GAMES AVG
2003= 16/24 90
2004= 13/22 84
2005= 20/25 80
2006= 16/24 88
2007= 17/24 67

his total games = 82/119 (68.9%)
which on average in a 22round season means he will miss about 7games

i know i am def. going didak

Hence the previous comment. IMO it's purely risk v reward. Burton has massive upside but could cost you a trade if he goes down (which he probably will). He may, however, make you 100K before that happens.

for burton to go up 100k he'll need to average 87 across a majority of the season (assuming he plays most games)
its just ive been burnt twice from burton and making sure u no all the numbers about him
i wont deny he is a bit of a freak though and watching him chop knowing he is in ur dt is pretty cool

No probs mate. Was aware of the injury history. Just watch Didak though. He has also missed 18 games in the past 4 years and only averaged above 66 once.

yeah i no about his avg
those matches dont mean much corz most of them were a sole injury
i think he will be movig a lot more into the midfield this year, so thats the reason ive selected him

Whats Corz?

Didak will improve on last year's Ave. But by how much i'm not sure. I'm not taking the punt, but i won't knock anyone that does.

Whats Corz?
cause
sorry

a question for some advice
consistentcy isnt a huge problem for me, but every now and then i always seem to get a score well under200 from my average, like a 1600 once twice or 3times a year. how do i stop this from happening because it really knocks my overall score and league position around

Any of you guys bother to add the averages of your players from last year? It doesn't really help much but its interesting to see how low it is mine is 1584

just got the virtual sports email saying that the NRL dream team has opened.

fingers crossed for the AFL one.

NRL.com.au fantasy competition isn't opening until the 20th of march. The VS fantasy competition at http://league.virtualsports.com.au appears to have no sponsor at all. (You win an X-Box if you are the over all leader at the end of the season)

That's not good news for the afl.com.au one.

Sweet, an xbox!!!!

Yeh bad news indeed.
Although I have faith it will be out and everything will be fine (for some unknown reason).

Watch and learn, my powers of deduction have pointed to AFL Dreamteam opening either this Thursday or Friday. Bookmark it. :thumbsu:
