Eliminator is pure luck. You could get Nebula or peckin away first up and get smashed or you could get raw talent or powaflag08 and romp it in :p

HAHA!!
Quality call that...sure enough alot of luck is involved!
but.......
Peckin away has cross captain and he goes down (TOUCH WOOD...LIKE A FREAKIN TREE OR SOMETHING, WE DON"T WANT THAT) scoring 12 and then raw talent has travis varcoe captain who scores a ridiculous 132....sickening i know...but in dream team especially at the start...alot is unpredicatable!
Anyway thursday can't come soon enough...i have already begun to fiddle with a solid side!

I recokon theEliminator will be like the old top 8 system when top played 8th, 2nd played 7th - but only on a bigger scale.

Still that is only a 240 point difference:D peckin away would surely be able to cover that lol

Salopek. NAB scores are impressive i must say, but correct me if i'm wrong Port had half their side out? Looking further down the list the likes of Murphy, Reilly and N Jones look much more appealing...

heyy alot of ppl have been asking so i asked myself the same question but couldnt come up with a conclusion basically
Who will get more game time?, more DT points? between cale Morton and armitage? tough question

I like the team bro but im not too sure if its an explosive squad but should do great, well done :thumbsu:

Not bad line-up
Consider Cyril Rioli for the bench position in the forward line - he's a shoe-in for rnd1 and his scoring was relatively decent during the NAB games
Very strong centre and like many of us, hoping Coggas steps up for rnd1 and has returns to his good form very soon
Nicoski has had a horrid pre-season but hopefully he can turn things around and become a decent cash-cow.
Kennelly for me is an issue. His knee may play up again this year. Maybe look towards Mattiner whose dash will be crucial,
Waite is playing CBH this year and can't see him accumulating the DT points. Burton is priced well so try and grab him - his NAB Cup form was brilliant.

Hmm.
Good, not great.
Your backs are consistent but nothing too extreme.
Your centres are EXCELLENT. A very good balance and you have picked players underpriced, except K.Cornes, but he is worth the dough.
Your rucks are average. May i ask, why did you pick Hudson?
Your forwards are pretty average as well. Stay away from Waite. He will be playing in the backline all year shutting down key forwards and sacrificing his ability to rack up the stats.

Unlike most, i will give you a few tips because i am not threatened by any other teams in here:
1) Upgrade your backs (you need some star quality premiums in there).
2) Look at downgrading K.Cornes to a player around the $350,000 mark who will still score very high and might only average 5-10 less points than Cornes for the year. There are plenty there so take your pick. Goodwin is fair bagain in my eyes.
3) Reconsider your pick of Hudson.
4) Get rid of Waite.

Keep researching mate.
You are on the right track.

Cheers guys!

Yeh i chose hudson coz he will get the game time and gets a decent amont of possesions for a ruckman
Any suggestions to what i can change in the back department??

I'm guessing you used up your whole salary cap anyway? Should really keep 20-30K free (at least) for trades.

I agree, especially after round two if there are some unexpected rookies scoring well and they are just out of reach

i was so happy with my team!

Well, here, you are looking at two totally different scenarios.
Morton plays for a team with one of the weakest lists on paper, Melbourne.
Armitage plays for a team with one of the strongest lists on paper, St.Kilda.
They will both get their chances throughout the year and funnily enough, they will both score pretty similarly, 30-75, tops.

My answer is split.

If you want to take a risk go with Morton.
Never played a senior game of football but looks the goods in the future.
He may stuggle fitness wise and fail to hold his spot or he may suprise us all in a team that will struggle all season.

If you want to play it safe go with Armitage.
Played a handful of games last year and worked hard out on the field.
He will be a half decent bench player but he will not give you anything special.
Just look at who he is competing with for a spot. Dal Santo, Hayes, Ball, Montagna, Harvey, etc, etc.

Take your pick.
Risk or no-risk?
