Salopek is a gun DT'er... I had him in "06" and "07"
He screwed me last year twice, by injuring himself prior to half time. Could not bring myself to selecting him this year.
Will probably go on to average 100...
In the Essendon game, which is the only WCE game ive watched this year. I cannot recall him once being in the centre circle at a bounce.
Got plenty of it across half fwd as a link up man or kicking goals and got it a fair bit on the wings too.

hes scored 6 x of 120+ get ur stats right. in 06 he got 5 120+ and they were a fair bit bigger than 120. yeh he handballs but thats alright if u handball 20 times and kick 12 times a game with his usual marks and tackles.
Your right, i was looking at the player next to him on the spread sheet. Imagine if he ****ing kicked the thing more!

Thoughts on Joel Bowden...I mean I know he is usually a gun, but he is expensive, do people think he can hold his form. Are people going to just pick him from the start, or wait for his price to drop.

Salopek pretty much averaged the same in '07' as he did in '06' because of the injuries. If he's fit(and looks like he is) then its possible he'll nudge the 100 ave mark. But Port have so many players that could rack them up. Cornes x 2, Cassisi, Pearce, Boak, S Burgoyne(and Peter if he gets a stint in the centre). Just wonder if there is enough ball to go around.

i reckon go all out thats what im doin ive got 500$ left over and thats becoz i downgraded Cross to Stanton. to get priddis.
I feel you cant go wrong if you spend all the money. However say a 210k back (ellis) gets injured in round 1 then u rely on subs to play round 2. but if u had 50 k u may be able to get a (J.W.S,Mattner, for example)

not touching JOEL hes a risk and should lose value in the first 3 or 4 weeks. he will need to avg between 95 and 100 to maintain his price maybe more. I did the opposite last year with J.Brown as he was so expensive but could do anything and with him carrying niggles into season proper i basically gave 100 to 150 k away.(it cost me)
Im in the same position as you at this stage. IF last year is anything to go by, it took him a while to get going. I cant quite remeber why this was, perhaps he was playing more accountable (surely not) or just a tad underdone.
For me, im going to wait, while i have faith he will average around the 90s id prefer to save my money, wait till he has a shocker, then pick him up.
If you get a 60 as a 400k player you drop a lot further than a 60 from a 300k player (i tihnk), if u get my drift.
Any ideas on cheap rucks that will play? What about Max Bailey?
White from Sydney may get a game, and Joel Tippett from Brisbane (who is rookie priced) will probably get a game if either Charman or Luey gets injured. Slim picking though...

The only reason Bowden had a slow start was because Thursfield and McGuane werent in the senior side yet, so he had to play more accountable.

I don't think it is value. I have 21k left and I am in 12th. Not sure it could have to do with fixture? Or just completely random
